First time visiting this hotel for my daughter’s birthday and we had a fantastic experience. The room was very clean with plenty of drink choices and the bed was so comfortable we both slept very well. We booked into the restaurant for the 2 course meal which was exceptional beautifully cooked steak and excellent service. We used the spa facilities which was also excellent and the service and also had a delicious breakfast in the morning with attentive staff.

We booked to stay over for my partners birthday. We booked a double room only to go in a see that it was two single beds pushed together which isn't ideal when im paying £140. We went to the spa and saw that the outdoor pool was overlooking a car park and housing estate which isn't very relaxing or luxurious. Half of the rooms in the thermal spa weren't working meaning all the other available ones were full. The outdoor pool jacuzzi and water feature were not on constantly. The food at the drop inn was amazing, limited menu but the steak pie and hunters chicken was delicious. The breakfast was quite disappointing. We went at our time slot and was taken to try and find a table. There wasnt one available so they told us to just wait standing in a corner near the continental breakfast section. We were told to help ourselves but this would be quite difficult to do as didnt want to eat standing up. After 5 minutes no one came back and got us, it wasnt until another waiter asked if we needed help and we said we were told to wait here. He found the original waitress who had forgotten to tell us and was already seating another couple. I ordered bacon, hashbrowns and beans and got one slice of bacon, one hash brown and a small pot of beans. I expected a little bit more considering the price im paying to stayover. It was very nice just could do with the portion size being a tad bigger. The reception staff weren't the most helpful, they tried to get us to pay more money on check in and check out but this was already paid in advance online - surely they should have seen this? Overall it was alright but not really worth the money and wont be coming back in a rush.

A very relaxing couple of days The setting was lovely, especially the village. We took our dog and the hotel is incredibly dog friendly. Our room had a lovely small terrace outside, but unfortunately they couldn't find the key for the patio door

Hotel and spa is set in peaceful grounds, although showing signs of age it still has a welcoming atmosphere. Three different eating establishments! Reasonably priced and family friendly
Cyrus, server in the bar and breakfast was very welcoming and did everything in a gentle genuine way. Cyrus (sorry if it’s spelt name wrong) well done! Great stay!

We had a brilliant time at last drop with the warm pool the saunas steam rooms and the food was really nice. The place is a really good set up nice little village with shops all in same area. Breakfast a bit slow but once we got it, it was really nice well worth the price definetly going back again

Staff were lovely, and our evening meal at the clocktower was lovely. The rooms were dated, and where we were there was an awful banging noise that kept happening through the night. The spa was okay, some of the steam rooms were out of order, as it is busy it meant there was not a lot of chance to use them. I don't understand the location of the thermal pool. It's facing a carpark and houses? The breakfast at the clocktower, although what was there was okay for £18.50 per person, there should be more hit food options and cappuccino etc should be included and not an extra £1.45

Such a cosy little escape! I don’t live far from here at all, but it genuinely feels like I’m in a completely different town. The perfect place to switch off and relax

The room was excellent but the food let the hotel down. Much of the continental breakfast advertised was not available and the cooked breakfast was poor with terrible poached eggs and dehydrated tomato.

Quite an unexpected hotel so near housing. It has the atmosphere of a more rural hotel that you expect to be away from the town. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bed felt that large you needed a passport to visit the other side. We didn't try the meals as we were visiting friends, but the cooked breakfast was ideal. They slightly lacked in the selection of cold/continental style breakfast items.
Staff were quick to help when assistance was asked for.
Considering the occupancy/size of the hotel I felt it could use a few extra disabled parking spaces nearer the front.
Drinks prices were reasonably priced and the lounge areas comfortable, but, like a good part of the hotel, has started to look "tired". They could do with a few 'soft close ' mechanisms on some corridor doors.
Still, certainly a place I would return to.

Stopped here for a meal on our way back from a day out. Myself, my wife, father-in-law and sister-in-law. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had black pudding, bacon and poached egg, my wife had quiche with a side salad, my sister-in-law, fish and chips and my father-in-law had pea and ham soup as his main. For dessert we all had bakewell tart with cream, except my father-in-law, who had chocolate brownie sundae. No complaints and we would be more than happy to go again.
