I stayed at the hotel for 5 weeks (26/01/22 - 25/02/22). The staff are amazing. Jade and Ashley on the front desk will do anything to help make your stay enjoyable. The cleaning staff were so friendly too
The breakfast has a wide selection of choice and the evening meals were nice too.

The staff were so helpful and considerate, afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and cakes was a lovely treat.

Great hotel, we glad we choose to stay here.
Location is great, located in the city center, next to the mall, and easy to reach the Bolton train station within walking distance.
The room is very clean, tidy and cozy.
The bed is super comfortable! My favourite is the shower room.
The booking also comes with all you can eat breakfast. Foods are absolutely tasty and they are fresh made, I also love they have several different snack cheese you can choose.
The quality of the drinks from the coffee machine are really good and decent.
Would love to come back here in the future!

Food is nice and the menu has enough dishes on it to cover a week if your staying that long. Underground parking is very tight but great in a winter no windscreens to clear.

Had our works Christmas gathering there (Early December 2021) and overall the service was very good, decent, friendly staff and although there were numerous staff parties going on simultaneously there was no overcrowding, even the dancefloor area at it's busiest felt safe without excessive mixing; also without feeling the event was under-occupied.
The entertainment for the night was engaging, fun and well chosen.
Why only 3 stars? The cost per-head of entry & meal was on the higher end considering the calibre of the evening, no complimentary drinks on entry etc.
The food was good, more than just 'acceptable' but nothing special. Starters were nice, varied & on a table-sharing basis. Main course was portioned well and not lacking in its charm (though predictable... But maybe I'd be asking too much for something more 'interesting' considering they're trying to suit the tastes of a lot of people at once) and dessert was a bit of an anti-climax.
Considering the lack of complimentary drinks & cost of entry, one of the reasons most responsible for the 3* review is the price of the drinks, there's literally no excuse for charging close to a fiver for the cheapest draught pint.
Can't fault the staff on the bar, serving food, security, the entertainment; very well spirited, respectful and with the human touch!

Was at Holiday Inn for a dinner dance, check in was easy and the rooms were small but modern and nicely furnished, the bathroom was really tiny, would be very difficult to get into if you were a larger person or if you had any disabilities.
Function was in the Cloisters which was a beautiful room but very cold, the food was adequate could do with some improvement especially the main course.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, seems they were understaffed but struggled to find bowls for cereal, items were slow coming out when they ran out but once you got it breakfast was very good.

I've been staying at the Holiday Inn in Bolton since September, the service of the staff and upkeep of the rooms are fantastic. They make for a a very convenient stay. The food however is a huge let down for this hotel, breakfast buffet is often inconsistent and I've often felt sick after eating an evening meal to which is overpriced.

Went as part of a wedding party for two days, over all it was a wonderful experience and the staff were extremely obliging. From Bernie and the cleaners through to reception and on to the bar staff and catering staff, all were more than willing to go the extra mile. While the bar may have seemed a little pricey the cost of bed and breakfast certainly was not with the restaurant running about average for a meal. Of the seven of us dining I was disappointed with my evening meal, Lamb Shashlik, the rice was dry and the lamb under seasoned and the meal lacked a "sauce ", but every one else enjoyed their meals and I was offered a complimentary drink to compensate. As someone else has written, the reason for only giving 4 stars is the small wardrobe and no drawer space in the room, the room itself is spacious and comfortable and the bathroom is quite adequate - the room is obviously designed more for the business person. To sum up, had a fabulous time and would have no hesitation going back again. Thanks again to all the staff, you are a treasure.

This hotel is very clean and modern. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Bernie and the other members of the housekeeping team kept our room spotless. I always look under the bed before checking out in case I've dropped something and it's rolled underneath. There wasn't a speck of dust under there. The breakfast choices and food quality are excellent. So you may wonder why I haven't given 5 stars. Well it's all to do with the room facilities really. The bathroom was very well appointed but the room was woefully inadequate in terms of wardrobe and drawer space which is very important to me. There was hardly any full hanging wardrobe space and no drawers. The room design seems more aimed at business people and short term stayers rather than the 8 nights we stayed. We opted for the upgrade at £10 per night but I don't think it was worth the extra £80 and wished we'd never done it. When I said so to Reception, they took this on board and gave us 2 complimentary bottles of wine and a regular supply of biscuits and chocolate in compensation. Good to see a business listening to the customer and doing something about it.
