Not the greatest stadium or view in the country but definitely the best sausage rolls I've tasted in a football stadium. Delicious.

Nestled in the gorgeous surroundings of Ford Park at the foot of Hoad Hill is the contemporary Base Restaurant.
We were at my dads in Ulverston for the weekend and it happened to be Valentines so thought better book a meal! Had been to Base before at the end of our walk for a coffee and cake and decided to try the evening there. We were not disappointed and had a wonderful evening which was perfect from start to finish. Atmosphere was great, tables were laid out lovely and it was a full sitting. Food was wonderful servers were great and the Chef did a fantastic job of getting all sittings out at once and to perfection. We spoke with chef at the end of the evening and thanked him saying we would love to return for one of his taster menus at some point. Thank you to everyone at Base!
