Both North Devon and Torridge District Councils are involved in a new scheme, CosyDevon which operates across the county. Its main aim is to help people save energy, reduce fuel costs and stay warm at home by giving big discounts on home insulation. Depending on your circumstances you may qualify to get your insulation installed for free.
If you are either a home owner or private tenant, the offer is available to you.
Latest figures indicate there are over 80,000 households in Devon, currently in fuel poverty with almost 9,000 of those households based here in North Devon. (A household is in fuel poverty if it spends more than 10% of its income on fuel to maintain adequate levels of warmth in the home)
