Abingdon offers a wide variety of family-oriented events and activities this Easter so why not get out there and enjoy the Spring sunshine?

Abingdon Museum is running an Easter Craft Day  on the 8th ands 9th of April. The event is hosted in the Museum's Kempster room and is designed to suit all ages from 3 upwards. Have fun by making your own decorations, baskets, mobiles and a whole range of themed Easter items. All your home made items are free to take away.

Millets Farm Centre are holding their  Easter Eggstravaganza between 11th and 21st April.

Open 11am - 4pm daily, the event should provide eggcellent entertainment for the whole family. Join in the Easter Quiz (£4.99 per child) or explore the Farm to find the clues that lead you to the Easter Bunny.

There is lots to do here, including biscuit decorating, chocolates and a decopatch craft activity, Tractor Trailer rides (£1 per per person).  If the weather permits, the Bouncy Castle and the Victorian Carousel will also be open.  Pre-booking not necessary.    ...

For something more sporting, why not visit the Spring Cycle Festival  being held in Abingdon Market Place on Sunday 13th April. This is a great day to try cycling for the first time, move up to more serious riding or get some advice.  There will be music and bikes on the Market Place which should make for a great atmosphere. There are rides of all lengths for varying capabilities and lots of cake for those who run out of steam!

For something a little more eclectic, you have a great opportunity to sing alongside a full choir as part of a new performance of The Messiah   at St Helen's Church on Saturday 26th April. Everyone who loves to sing is welcome to take part. There are no auditions and the cost of £10 goes towards the fund raising for the 2016 Passion Play. Hallelujah dude.

If you like your music a little more raunchy with the added accompaniment of some superbly cooked and presented Chinese food, then why not book for the Bryan Adams Effect  at the Cockadoo Restaurant and Wine Bar.  The Bryan Adams Effect is the UK's finest tribute to the music of Canadian rocker Bryan Adams. It should be a fantastic evening of dinner and live music at £35 per head (min 2 people) including a set menu.

Whatever you get up to this Easter, here's hoping we can all enjoy family, community, peace and some Spring sunshine.
