A new Oxfordshire food start-up is now well underway, having secured more than the required investment and a great deal of community support. Cultivate is a co-operative social enterprise whose members supply the city and surrounding communities (including Abingdon) with locally sourced, sustainably grown fruit and vegetables via a mobile 'VegVan'. The fresh fruit and vegetables are sourced from the co-operative’s five-acre plot at the Earth Trust’s Hill Farm in Little Wittenham, and are complemented with produce from other small-scale ecological producers in the Thames Organic Growers network. The VegVan visits Abingdon on Fridays between 08.15 and 09.00 am at The Northcourt Centre, Northcourt Road. For more details see here.

I love Abingdon and am passionate about promoting the businesses and events that are centred there. I want everyone to realise how great they are and how we should all be using them!
