Press release from Pizza Express:

PizzaExpress launches its exciting new-look restaurant at Abingdon on 20 May.

Located in a Grade II listed building in in Stert Street, the restaurant boasts a beautiful al fresco dining area, perfect for the summer, as well as a separate dining area for parties.

Manager, Aga Candan, said, “We have a friendly and enthusiastic team who are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our beautifully refurbished restaurant over a delicious pizza.”

PizzaExpress has been dishing up fresh, handmade pizza to Abingdon since 1996 and has a fantastic new menu. Its Leggera range includes skinny pizzas with fewer than 500 calories and the Superfood Salad is packed full of nutritious ingredients containing just 295 calories. PizzaExpress has also introduced gluten-free choices to its menu including a gluten-free pizza base.

For younger pizza-lovers, PizzaExpress’ Piccolo menu is full of tasty choices including ‘Create Your Own’ pizza. And for budding chefs looking to celebrate a birthday, a Pizza Making Party will see them transformed into mini-chefs (or pizzaiolas) so they can stretch, toss and top their own pizza and play a game before sitting down to enjoy their culinary creations. So kids don’t have all the fun, adult Pizza Making Parties can be arranged on request.

And the restaurant runs free visits for local primary schools, turning the kitchens into classrooms.
