The Riverly Club is a luxurious private members club located within the Bridge House Care Home at the centre of Abingdon. It is superbly equipped to provide extensive opportunities for leisure, hobbies, social events, relaxing and pampering in a calm and sophisticated environment. It offers like-minded people with shared interests, experiences and hobbies the opportunity to socialise, dine together, relax and escape the pressures of everyday life.


The Riverly Club  includes the following facilities – all presented to the highest standards:-

Cinema – the only cinema in Abingdon offering a widescreen experience with new releases, classic favourites and even popcorn!

Bistro – ideal for light lunches, tea, pastries and coffee at any time of day

Fitness Suite – a well-equipped gym for light exercise

Riverley Spa – a hair and beauty spa where you can relax and pamper yourself

Library – a well-stocked lending library for fiction, non-fiction and audio books.  It even has a billiards table.

Private Dining -  a private dining area is available for private parties and celebrations.

Groups and Events

The Riverly Club has a busy schedule of social events, activities and groups to satisfy your personal hobbies and interests. Classes include regular keep fit sessions, yoga, arts and antiques, lifestyle and well being. There is always something to interest everyone at the Riverly Club.

Guest speakers from the local community also run seminars and events on a whole range of topic of interest.

How To Join

The Riverly Club is open to local Abingdon residents over the age of 55. There is an annual fee of £80 for single membership or £140 for joint membership. Membership includes daily access to the club and all its facilities, events, activities and clubs. Members also receive a subsidy on classes like Oomph! or yoga as well as preferential rates in the spa.
