I am the founder of the ‘Yeah Baby’ charity music festival held annually in Abingdon market square for the past 6 years.
All proceeds from this event are given to The Oxford Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Helen & Douglas House and the Amber Phillpott Trust (all of which are registered charities). The event does not just benefit the charities; it also brings a significant number of people into the town from which the local businesses will benefit as well as the general profile of Abingdon.
This year’s event is booked for Saturday 4th July 2015 and as usual we are looking for local companies to sponsor the event. They can do this in a number of ways for example -
1. Financial donations – to help cover the cost of insurance, first aid, advertising, equipment hire etc.
2. Prize donations for our raffle
3. Product donations – eg meat for the BBQ, refreshments, equipment etc.
In return we can mention company’s generosity on our website and Facebook page which has over 1000 local followers. For large donations we would also be prepared to display company banners on the day and announce them over the PA.
Our event on average raise’s in the region of £10k each year.
