Abingdon's Splash of Pink Day in support of Against Breast Cancer

Abingdon’s Splash of Pink Day in support of our very own Against Breast Cancer charity was a triumph! Warm weather and luckily no rain undoubtedly helped a lot, but what was most in evidence was the support of the local business community and the people of Abingdon. Most of the shops sported pink ribbons and decorations and Fabulous Flowers had a huge display of pink delphiniums in front of their shop which had a wonderful welcoming impact on those of us who parked over the bridge.

Very brave and exuberant belly dancers (below) and Morris dancers drew crowds to the market square where Jemma and her volunteers from Against Breast Cancer had their stall with information and raffle tickets. Across the road in the Guildhall was an equally packed Eco Fair, with stalls from food suppliers, energy suppliers, travel suppliers, waste management and biodiversity companies to name but a few of around 50 stalls!

Everyone was enjoying a happy Saturday out in Abingdon and Against Breast Cancer deserves to do very well from it.

I love Abingdon and am passionate about promoting the businesses and events that are centred there. I want everyone to realise how great they are and how we should all be using them!
