One of the best one-day agricultural shows in Wales is held just outside Cardigan at the end of July each year and this year’s event is set to be a great crowd-puller. There will be a new display ring and a brand new attraction on the showfield – Circus Skills!

There’s something about seeing Shakespeare in the open air that adds a special feel to the dramatic experience. This summer there is a great new production of The Winter’s Tale showing around the area. One of the most spectacular venues is the Torch Theatre’s presentation at the Stackpole Centre during July.
A fabulous evening of jazz and an art exhibition and auction are set to raise funds for the arts department at Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn. It’s all happening at Small World Centre in Cardigan on Friday, July 17 from 19:00.

There’s some great entertainment coming up at the Ffwrnes Theatre, in Llanelli next month. Ready to make you laugh out loud with his show celebrating 30 years on the stage is the legendary female impersonator, Ceri Dupree. He’ll be there on Friday, July 17, at 7.30pm to show you a whole host of stars from around the world.
Kids can learn to shoot arrows like Robin Hood and train with his band of merry men to become fully fledged outlaws. And they’ll find out how to make a grass trumpet and track animals during a day of adventure activities at the fabulous Carew Castle and Tidal Mill in Pembrokeshire.
What have the fabulous cartoon bear SuperTed and Shakespeare got in common? Quite a lot actually! And you can find out exactly how they are linked at the latest ‘Evening with…’ event organised by PENfro Book Festival. Founder of the Shakespeare Schools Festival, now the UK’s biggest youth drama event, is the host for the evening on Thursday, July 9, from 8pm, at Rhosygilwen.
It’s the biggest countryside event in Wales and it’s an action-packed weekend with masses of entertainment for the whole family. The Welsh Game Fair will be held at Pembrey Country Park on June 20 and 21. There’s so much going on over the two days, here’s a brief idea of the programme:
