For those of us that love the outdoors and all that it provides, peace, solitude, adventure etc we all share common traits, we have places we want to explore, get up early to catch the sunset and the best weather, we sit on hills and drink a warm brew from a trusted flask that has seen as many adventures as you (and probably rolled down a few hills too), and marvel at the sunset from an idyllic vantage point, but most of all, we just love the countryside.

Special schools from all over the county were recently invited to take part in a Kwik Cricket festival at Taunton Vale sports club. The festival was the finale to a project jointly organised by Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP), Somerset disability cricket club and Somerset Cricket Board.

Taunton Racecourse opens its gates on Tuesday 30th October for the first meeting of the
current season. It will be an exciting winter for the members and local enthusiasts as it
has been allocated 16 fixtures, with for the first time in a while, two evening meetings on
the 24th April and 2nd May 2013.
