Brighthelm Centre is a Community Centre located in North Road, very close to Churchill Square and Brighton Station. Following the very unwelcome discovery of a displaced drain within the foundations of my house I was naturally in a bit of a spin knowing that raw sewage was potentially entering our home. I initially contacted another company of similar name and arranged a detail camera survey, with results in hand I circulated a copy to Stuart and he contacted me by return to explain that he was on holiday until Monday and that I could arrange a visit with the office. I met Stuart at the first available opportunity and was instantly impressed, we decided to line an existing pipe and install a new run around the house and across our lawn. He suggested that they dig the new trench across the lawn by hand to minimise damage and put me at ease that the job was not overly significant. I anxiously awaited his quote, which arrived the following day and was so pleasantly surprised. I asked him to do some extra bits like installing a rat blocker and one or two other bits and we arranged a date to get underway. On the said day they arrived at 8.00, Stuart came and we discussed the job as he introduced me to his team. Luke an Alfie took charge of the new drain and immediately ran into a couple of unforeseen issues that might have had other revising quotes etc, not these Guys, we discussed a couple of solutions and they just got on with it. Stuart and Mark (I think) took care of lining a section of pipe, this involved dismantling a toilet and threading various pipes and tubes down the drains. In under 2 hours their mission was complete, everything was reinstated and you would never know anyone had even been in the room. This left Alfie and Luke trenching and laying new pipes. At this point I left for work. On return home they had reinstated the lawn, piece piece so that even the strips left by my mover appeared undisturbed to the point that I wondered if they'd left early! The following day was spent reinstating paving slabs and decking, removing spoil and tidying to the point that it's hard to know that anyone has even been. As a team nothing is too much trouble and they take great pride in their workmanship. I suspect that anyone reading this will also be dreading spending money on stuff that can't be seen. Cotswold Drainage take the pain out of those problems to that point that if Carlsberg did drains .... As a final note I'm still awaiting a quote form the company with a similar name. Many thanks once again, you've earned a 5 start review twice over.
