Kensington and Chelsea College has been rated best FE college in London for success rates for all levels between the ages 16-18. The college received an achievement rate of 79.7%, which is above the London average of 86.9%.

Students from the HND Fine Art course at Kensington and Chelsea College will be taking over 508 Kings Road Art Gallery in Chelsea to present their end-of-year show to art lovers from across the capital. Featuring a range of work including painting, sculpture, textiles and photography, the exhibition promises an exciting glimpse into the artistic practices of these emerging artists as they complete the equivalent of their second year of a BA degree.

Glassmaking students at Kensington and Chelsea College have been successful in the ‘Inspired by V&A’ awards. Three Glassmaking students were shortlisted in this year’s awards ceremony. Janine Greenberg won in the category ‘Glass and Stained Glass.’ Janine’s work Love, Light and Strength was inspired by BirdBath, a stained glass work by Judith Scheschter on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Odyssey’s website story is that of a new start up. Evan Burns, a charismatic millennial with a familiar name, considered of the site in 2010 as a student at Indiana University at Bloomington.
Children attending the ‘Little Explorers’ kids’ club at The Glades this weekend will be transported to ancient Egypt on a mystical adventure.

Hammersmith Academy school children are taking part in a scientific initiative designed by Noosphere – the philanthropic foundation founded by Russian philanthropist Yelena Baturina, in association with the Mayor’s Fund for London’s Discovery in a Week initiative.
Also supported by the Yelena Baturina’s BE Open Foundation, the initiative’s aim is introduce young people from across London to the fascinating world of astronomy. The Discovery in a Week projects bring together PHD astronomy students from the UCL’s Physics and Astronomy department to mentor secondary school pupils. London children will join those from Moscow and professional astronomers to discuss and exchange thoughts and ideas during weekly Skype conferences.

October 10th 2016 is World Mental Health Day and stem4, the award winning Wimbledon based charity that aims to improve the mental well-being of teenagers, is holding a special event in the Wimbledon Piazza, on Saturday October 15th to mark this special date.
One injury or loss of life is one too many. The Met Police are concerned, as are we all, about the needless casualties caused on our roads by collisions between large vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, the newly launched initiative is designed to make all parties more aware of each other to mutual benefit.
The Prince Michael International Road Safety Award Winning Metropolitan Police initiative ‘Exchanging Places’ launched in 2007 is very successful in promoting cyclist safety.
Stem4 is a charity aimed at improving the early identification of commonly occurring mental health issues in teenagers, covering eating disorders, depression and anxiety, self-harm and addiction.
