On Saturday 27 May and Sunday 28 May, budding archaeologists, along with their mummies (and other family members!) are invited to take a magical journey to Egypt’s past through the medium of time travel, and a variety of action-packed games, interactive story-telling, crafts and more.

Leading the exciting escapade will be intergalactic time-traveller, Bronwyn, and her space-voyager friends from another dimension – Ziggy and Star – who will use their time machine for an educational adventure exploring everything from the pyramids and hieroglyphics to Tutankhamun and Cleopatra.

Kate Miller, General Manager of The Glades said: “Ancient Egypt is full of wonder, undiscovered artefacts and extraordinary secrets so our visitors, together with Bronwyn and our cosmic friends, The Bromlins, are in for an amazing time delving into the history of this intriguing place.”

The mission to Egypt will be held in a special inflatable set in the lower mall central atrium, with free explorer bags to be given away to newcomers and existing club members will receive a free gift. Everyone attending will be given a Little Explorer passport and for children who collect nine stamps throughout the year, special gifts are up for grabs.

Activities will run from 11am to 5pm on both days, with the option for children with special education needs and young ones of a shy nature to attend a quieter session at 2pm. All children are welcome to attend any of the sessions.

“The beauty of the kids’ club is that families have so much fun together while learning new things along the way. There’ll be lots of singing, stories and an Egyptian-themed craft to take home as a reminder of a great family day out. It’ll be a fantastic half-term treat and it’s all completely free,” said Kate.

Every month, Bronwyn and The Bromlins will be at Little Explorers kids’ club leading a new educational expedition to a historical period, an event from the past or visiting key characters through creative story-telling, songs and games.

Little Explorers is suitable for children aged up to 12 and will be held at the lower mall central atrium at the Glades Shopping Centre, Bromley, this weekend. The free sessions run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 27 May and Sunday 28 May.
