The Foundry is once again lending its support to the annual Focus Wales music festival being held in Wrexham this Spring. Now in its third year, the festival will take place over the weekend of the 25th, 26thand 27th of April, and will see Wrexham play host to hundreds of live bands at venues across the town. All of the acts on the bill have been chosen for their Welsh roots, and will cover every musical genre. There will also be discussions and panels from leading music industry experts.
Focus Wales is expected to bring up to ten thousand visitors into Wrexham town centre and is seen as an integral part of the Welsh music calendar. Last year’s event saw over eighty-acts perform on eight stages, with artists coming from as far away as the USA, Australia and Japan, and many of the sets were broadcast on BBC radio.
The Foundry, based on Yorke St in Wrexham town centre, was created by David Gray with the idea of bringing together like-minded businesses in a single creative space. The fully-modernised building boasts a state of the art boardroom-style meeting space alongside flexible, practical office space.
David and his team at the Foundry are one of the many partners involved in the three-day music festival, along with Calon FM, Central Station and Wrexham County Borough Council.
The event officially launches on January 23rd at Yales’ Café Bar, and updates on the line-up will be announced over the next few months.
