Fantastic news that millions of pounds will be invested in Warwick Town Centre over the next 15 years.  The "Warwick Town Centre Plan" will look at a many issues affecting the town and is being managed by the county & district councils. Warwick Chamber of Trade & Warwick Society will also be heavily involved with the project.  But it is good to see that residents will also get a chance to have their say on the plans.

Key Issues:

  • Defining The Town Centre
  • Protecting Historical Buildings & Places
  • Making Use of Development Opportunities
  • Reducing the impact of traffic on the town centre
  • Improving access to the town centre
  • Developing the town centre economy
  • Shops & Services
  • Employment & Offices
  • Visit Attractions & Accommodation
  • Providing more varied housing
  • Providing more or better public services
  • Addressing Climate Change
  • Warwick Castle & The Town
  • Warwick Racecourse & The Town

So make sure you take your chance to visit the exhibition & give your feedback at the old Hydropool Centre in Market Street at the following times:

Friday 5th March, 12 - 7pm

Saturday 6th March, 10am - 4pm

Sunday 7th March, 12 - 4pm

Friday 12th March, 11am - 2pm

Saturday 13th March, 10am - 4pm

You can read about the key issues that the Warwick Town Centre Plan will cover & fill out a survey to have your say via this link http://www.warwicktowncentreplan.org/issues.html

The main page to keep an eye on for the project is www.warwicktowncentreplan.org

It is good to see a number of big issues being tackled by the project such as looking at encouraging a higher number of visitors to Warwick Castle or Warwick Racecourse to visit the town centre & support its businesses.
