The young Prince was taking part in the Sport Relief mile race close to Flamengo Beach in Rio de Janeiro, as he neared the finishing line he produced a mask of the Duke of Cambridge. The mask was supplied by one of Mask-arades’ customers Hettie Allison, who told Mask-arade; “I wore the Prince William mask for the run and Prince Harry laughed about it and asked to borrow it!”

The fun loving Prince never misses a chance to make fun of his older brother Prince William. The Maskateers couldn’t believe it when the race was shown on National and global news channels as well as pictures of Harry wearing the Prince William face mask on the front pages of newspapers around the world. Director Ray Duffy said “This has provided global exposure for our company – even better than our two appearances on Dragons’ Den! We have seen orders roll in from all over the world. We have over 180 different celebrity faces as well as nine different Royal face masks to choose from. Harry is more popular than ever!”

Harry’s exploits nearly caused Mask-arade’s website to crash with the sudden intake of orders for Royal masks, the Midlands Business Award winners shipped over 250,000 Kate & William masks in the build up to last year’s Royal Wedding and are now expecting to hit their target of a million Royal masks as the nation prepares for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June over the four day holiday.

It’s been all hands to the pump at the Warwickshire based mask makers lately, with 50,000 masks going to Buenos Aires for Pink Floyd star Roger Waters’ performance of The Wall. Mask-arade also provided 1,500 David Hasselhoff masks for the filming of an upcoming television show ‘An Audience with David Hasselhoff’. Mask-arade also provided some unexpected fun for Michael Crawford’s 70th birthday party in January this year by supplying masks depicting the star’s different characters throughout his career. Michael Crawford said that it he had a “Fellini Moment” when he saw a room full of friends wearing his face. For more information visit www.mask-arade.com
