Having built a loyal following for themselves around the area I put a few questions to Warwick / Leamington Spa based band The Tide:

Who are The Tide & who plays what?  

We are 4 mates, who like to have a drink and enjoy ourselves, Karl, vocals  Stu, Bass  Russ, Guitar  Chris, Drums

How would you describe your music in 3 words?

Captivating, Inspiring and Catchy

What's your favourite gig you've played so far?   

O2 Academy Birmingham

Do you have any gig or band related disaster stories?     

Many, but Russ telling Karl, lets get the f**k out of here on stage while he was holding the mic was a bit of a disaster...

You recently had a track used on the BMW advert, any other exciting news to share? 

Yes, some really big news coming up in the next few weeks but cant really say too much at the mo, just watch this space.

How do you rate the local music scene & what are your favourite places to play around the area?       

I think there are some awesome bands in Leamington and Warwick and i think places like The Assembly and Cox's Yard in Stratford are fantastic venues with excellent sound.

What other local bands do you rate?     

There are many brill local bands but theres a few that stand out for me,  Men in Caves, The Capulets, The Loaded  to name a few...

What advice would you give to a new band starting out?  

Remain focused and keep gigging no matter what...and obviously enjoy.

Where can people hear or buy your music?   

We have music to listen to on also our new EP is being released on Itunes on December 19th 2009.

When are you playing live next?
