Having a young family and firework displays usually don't go quite as well as planned. Most of us return home cold, covered in mud with a sleepy child draped over one shoulder. Walsall's attempted display this year was a far cry from the norm, with excellent accessibility and paved tracks throughout there was not one spot of mud on anyone's boots, so we are immediately off to a good start! The display itself was very good, with a myriad for "bangers" of all shapes, sizes and colour, there's was plenty to keep everyone happy in the coldness of the autumn night. All in all a great display and I would recommend it to anyone.

Our cycling club stopped at the cafe for a breakfast . Got to say it was lovely and warm , spotlessly clean , and considering the lady behind the counter was on her own she coped very well when we all turned up unespectately .

Had a lovely, sunny walk around the arboretum, spending time looking at the ducks, geese, moorhens, coots and gulls on the ponds. Stopped for lunch at the new Visitor Centre. Wonderful planting in the gardens. Would have preferred cafe to use less plastic/polystyrene and more paper/recyclable materials.

Had a lovely couple of hours in this magnificent park, leaves are all turning and this is the perfect Autumn landscape, good playground for the children, suitable for ages 12 and under. Plenty of ducks top feed and a nice cafe, parking for 2 hours free !!! :) right out side the park, what more could you want for a couple of hours in a well cared for park

I visited The Arboretum recently with friends for an Indian music event and walked around the park too. We were impressed by the new buildings near the lak and the fact that it seems to be finally being cared for, after years of neglect. It's fair to say they it has been abused by the public in the past and I hope that this is the start of it being valued as a special resource by visitors. I don't live in Walsall any more but I have special memories of the park as a child, picnics with family, and the brilliant Illuminations, then bringing my own daughter here and I am very pleased to see it in such good shape once again.

Beautiful park recently refurbished and now boasts a coffee shop. Brilliant children's play area with lido during summer months.
Home to the Walsall park run every Saturday. Good 5km run around a scenic lake with pedalos.

This attraction has changed over the years and is now worth visiting,in fact I would say it's a jewel in Walsalls crown. There is a new visitors centre and a coffee shop, you would not think you were almost in the town centre, some very pleasant walks to be done.
Parking if you are disabled could be a problem,it's a very long walk from the main car park which could do with a bit of attention,we managed to park in one of the side roads close to an enterance.overall well worth a visit.

Hi the walk was lovely , the visitors centre well what a delight in relation to facilities, but was so let down by the coffee over prices at two pounds, so poor it was good it was in a small paper cup it's such a shame that the refreshments were poor, the staff of one was polite and friendly but was not overly fast in service .surely the arboretum could do better to support the excellent facilities and the people who use it

Walsall Arboretum is such a lovely place to visit, my grandkids love the play area which has plenty to do for all ages ranging from tots to young teens. The water play area is ideal to visit on warmer days and the kids really enjoy it. There's also a skate park adjacent to the play area which makes it ideal if you have young kids wanting the play area and teens wanting the skate park.
The Arboretum itself is stunning and beautifully maintained, a perfect place for your morning jog or after lunch stroll. When I'm enjoying a stroll, taking in all of the wildlife and beautiful trees I find it hard to believe that I'm less than a ten minute walk from Walsall town centre.
I would definitely recommend a visit.

Haven't been here for ages but decided to go out for a walk. Plenty of parking at the top end and wow was I surprised by the amount of work the council have put in to renovating the park which was old & tired. It's fabulous to walk around the boating lake, which you can no go on in paddle boats. There is a cafe, the gardens and pavements have been refreshed. In addition, the kids park had been redone and is a lot safer for young children. Definitely worth a visit!

This park has great facilities and the revamp in progression currently is looking even better if not making the park more enjoyable. Their are many events that take place in the park and plenty for kids to do. Walsall town is nearby within walking distance too. Overall lovely park for the family.
