Myself, wife and our dog walked through here in February 2016 and where constantly saying how well it looked....From the extension to the town gate you could see how much effort they had put into making this once eyesore stand out. There are still some places for improvement but the new visitors centre and the outdoor eating area will be a big hit when the summer finally arrives.

Such a pretty park in all weathers. Often has activities set up by walsall council to help promote fitness, education on gardening and small fun activities for small children. Little gem in walsall. Its so undervalued and it really deserves a green flag. Constantly trying to improve itself and always appears in great condition.
It has a skater section, childrens park and small outdoor water activity for the summer, tennis courts, nature walks and of course a lovely little area to feed the ducks! They've introduced another water activity where you can ride swan peddle boats too.

Can't wait to go in the summer! This is a great asset to Walsall, it's beautiful and been lovingly cared for. The new cafe is excellent and you can get a well deserved cuppa and cake after walking round the massive park. The children's play area is wonderful and splash pad looks cracking. Roll on summer!

Went on a very rainy and cold Saturday afternoon for a walk with the dog.

Really good walk, can make it as long or as short as you like. Dog friendly.

Very rough ground in car park - lots of holes.

Good day out for a walk and picnic and it would be probably even better day if the sun is out.

Lots of play areas for kids too.

Had heard that there had been a renovation of the park and went for a look. The new visitor centre is excellent. Walking round the park and the lake took us a couple of hours and is well worth the effort.

A really great Victorian park which is both beautiful in summer as in winter, great for walks runs and any of the usual park activities, and you can even get food at the recently opened visitor center. If you're in Walsall the Aboreteum is the one thing you should try and visit.

This park has a good mixture. A pond with ducks and swans to feed, boats to row a cafe that is clean quick and cheapish. Well maintained gardens, park with young and older kids stuffs. A stream and bits of woodland and natural growth. Good place to visit with children of all ages.

Super place to walk around, has everything. From the north carpark by the golf club follow are path over the bridge which all children like to play Poo Sticks. This leads on to a large open area ideal to play football or to have a pic-nic. Follow the pathway along the edge of the park through a small gate which leads to the bowling greens & tennis courts. Turn left follow pathway to a small brook turn left and follow brook down to the new Cafe, stop for coffee or tea with a dog friendly area with tables.Out of the cafe follow pathway around the lake where one can purchase a fishing plot for the day, go on the new swan boats or feed the ducks.Continue to follow the pathway around the pool past the town gate then turn right to follow a nice tree lined area through to the children play area. This is the most fantastic place for families with small children , our kids played for hours on the rides and in the fun water area. Its totally safe for children to lay in as its totally surrounded by a gated fence and in the summer months there is a warden on duty. Out of the play area turn right past the state board trail and five aside footy pics which is an ideal venue for teenagers.
As stated its the ideal place for families, children and teens and there are plenty off quiet spots for us oldies. oh! there plenty of parking to.

We go to the arboretum alot with both the children and the dog. It is a beautiful park with lots of lovely walking routes around it.The children's play park is great although very busy on in hot days due to the splash pad which is very popular with children. On a Sunday during dry months there are bands playing in the bandstand and we have really enjoyed our visits.

As our local park we visit the Arboretum quite regularly the last time we visit was the firework display. I have to say were disappointed with the display it really wasn't great but the the Arboretum itself is great especially in the summer when you can go out onto the lake.
