The park is very attractive with well laid out gardens good children play areas plus open greens for ball and other play. The only let down is dog owners that will not clean up.

If you love long walks with your loved ones, then this is the place to be. Even the word beautiful sounds underrated after going there. Picturesque views. So, definitely I would recommend everyone to visit there.

A childhood favourite place of mine to visit. Was once home to the illuminations equal or better than Blackpools. Situated just out of the town centre this spans for miles and if you are a fan of walking and want a brake from the city or just visiting this is a beautiful place. Consisting of lakes, streams small brick bridges, wildlife, tea rooms, parks for children it really is a nice escape. It's worth noting however there are signs that say do not feed the ducks bread. Bring oats instead or feed is available from the cafe. This review will not do it justice with good photos.. But whether local or visiting I encourage you to support a beautiful and historical place.

A wonderful park with lakes, wooded areas, children's playground and plenty of picnic benches dotted around. Sports facilities include tennis courts, a trim trail, a basketball court and a skateboard area. In Summer there is a water splash pad and Swan pedolos on the lake. The extension area is huge allowing for longer walks. The visitor centre has a cafe serving quality drinks and light meals such as cakes, panninis etc. Highly recommended.
