Small from the outside but a proper Aladdins cave inside - great staff with fabulous chicken tikka from the bbq for a tasty lunch. great pub for both home and away fans

Went for a curry the 2 things in the menu I ordered on the menu were not available. Ordering was a bit obscure - 1 meal in one place another meal in another area. Service a bit canteenish, and some food doubled up and some rice did not arrive at all. The food was OK-ish. 1 peshwari man still doughy inside. Not the best curry I've had so don't know if I would go again.

Came here for the first time. It was very noisy and packed. The fish done on the barbecue was scrumptious the curry wasn't all that nice. Too many onions and peppers, it's like they just roughly chopped them and chucked them in. Beer was nice

The service was really quick and the staff really friendly.inside there are lots of little rooms to sit in if you want some quiet or a larger eatery at the back which offers a good view of the grill.I thoroughly enjoyed it,the food was lovely and hot, really tasty and the portions were huge for the price we paid.

Been visiting The Vine on and off for many years, the food is always good, staff efficient, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend The Vine!

Stayed at nearby hotel and went on trip advisor for nearby resturant this is #1 and lived up to rating.
Would never of visited this place if not recommended looks like a shabby local pub from outside - 4 steep steps into original pub - 3 snug rooms where u can eat if wanted then it opens out to large dinner then through to large indoor grill and dinning room. Food is great and good value - first ate in large back room mixture between pub and fast food resturant ( with better quality food) some self serve and disposable plastic plates.
Next night ( way back from Birmingham -its close to metro stop) popped in again. This time ate in a snug- meal from main menu so felt a better dinning experience. Staff and locals really friendly well worth a visit

Indian pub cuisine made fresh. It's a bar that has a wide selection of Indian and English food. Staff quite hospitable and friendly, the food is nice and I would recommend it

Place is unreal you sit and the food appears quickly and does not compromise on taste and flavour. Never had I seen such efficiency for a curry house at the back of a pub. On the outside you might think what the? But you don't leave disappointed. The choice of curries, kebabs and specials is limitless, the price is great. This place should be four star rated.

Stayed in a nearby hotel and had missed the Hotel dinner so took a walk and found this excellent Curry Restaurant, first class food served in a friendly pub type atmosphere, wonderful.

Home and away fans mix with no problem here and the food is awesome not your standard pub fare except for your chips but curry and naans and chicken tikka skewers definitely recommend The Vine for a pre match drink when visiting The Hawthorns.

If you are in the vacinity fensure you go there. we pulled off the M6 and it was brilliant. Thinking of making it a destination in its own right and driving 1.5 hours to visit...it is that good.
First you have a great pub with a selection of good beers. Lots of quality seating and alcoves and cosy snugs. Then you walk through to a big dining room filled with smiling people enjoying curries and mouthwatering nans.
Then you go through to a room with a huge indoor BBQ producing all sorts of grilled spiced treats.Everything was absolutely delicious. Best curries we have EVER eaten. And the prices were amazingly good. Dont miss this place. We are going back next month and my mouth is watering thinking about it.

I have been to The Vine on a few occasions now. The curries are very good and the tandoori grill section is great.
The curries, which you order from the bar come out in a matter of minutes. There is more of a wait on the tandoori grill, so if you are having a bit of both it is always best to order from the grill first.

As a regular visitor to this quirky unassuming pub in the backstreets of West Bromwich I am never disappointed. Steps lead you in to a parlour style area with smaller eating and drinking places
This opens out into a long trestle tabled toom and bar. Real ales abund and ciders to and the specials board has always got something new to try. All tastes catered for but the speciality is the numerous curries on offer.Having got a table token from the bar try going through to the fairly recent extension where you can order your starter kebabs freshly cooked and , if you dare, help yourself to their own brown sauce....chilli spiced to tingle on your tongue!
Service is quick for ordered food. Don't expect to be pampered you help yourself to cutlery napkins etc. It's a real experience not to be missed. Always a friendly welcome and menu to suit all pockets.
Ssssh it's my secret find....why am i sharing it???? Cos I want you to try it!!

The BBQ food is superb. The beer is good. The service is quick and friendly. Only real issue is the lack of parking.

The Vine excels in serving excellent Indian cuisine at a reasonable price. The food is always served quickly and presented very well. It is ideal for a pub lunch, or on a match day if you fancy something good to eat before the game.
The menu is varied with a selection of chicken from the grill and curries with excellent home made nans.

I visited The Vine after some 4 or 5 years. My Colleague was visiting West Bromwich and we needed somewhere local place to have a business lunch. I knew he liked to try different cuisines. He had visited the offices on the main road but had never saw this venue previously even though it is only 5 minutes walk from the offices.
From the outside he thought the place was not open and certainly run down in appearance. I told him to keep an open mind as it was deceptive both in terms of decor and the size once inside. The Vine certainly did not disappoint. The place was clean, warm and had a homely atmosphere to it. It was not quite as busy as it had been on my previous visits but there were enough clientele' to give you the impression that people were happy with what they were experiencing. We found the staff warm and friendly and the food to be of very good quality, tasty and value. I could have handled it a bit more spicy but I dare say the staff would have provided a chill or two if I had asked!
I feel the place caters for all types of people and backgrounds - young, older people, family etc... however, I just think people with mobility issues (particularly wheel chair users) may find access a challenge. I think the original building started life as a quaint little back street local pub where people have to negotiate quite steep 3/4 steps at the front entrance and narrow corridors. I am sure there must be an alternative entrance (and staff would be happy to help) but I did not see where this was.

It's a pretty standard pub that does curry. The decor isn't up to much, the drinks are pretty standard and the place doesn't have much character. That said, for football away days it's really good. It's really large inside and the food is surprisingly good. Really good. My dad had a veg chick pea curry which was lovely. They also have a massive BBQ grill set up from which I had a tikka chicken. Very yummy. Staff are very friendly. All in all a mixed bag, I wouldn't go for any reason other than football but for away days it is recommend.

Used to use this place regularly over 20 years ago but had stopped going when they no longer served Premier lager and other new restaurants opened. The first thing i noticed was the fact they still have people shouting out the food order numbers surely this could be improved with either numbers on tables or pagers like they use at the Grove pub.The chicken tikka from the bbq was superb as was the spicy brown dip which still tastes the same. The currys, had a good amount of quality chicken and the nan breads looked and tasted superb. All our group enjoyed a really pleasant evening at The Vine and will definitely be returning but would like to see a couple of choices of quality bitters on offer not just one, Bathams, Enville or Three Tuns would be good.

I was here yesterday to watch my spurs play the baggies. Overwhelmed to find how big the place was. I found on tap cobra which I love. We tried the chicken tikka which was just amazing. All the food looked and smelt amazing in fact and very fast. This is a little gold mine with a fabulous atmosphere with away and home fans enjoying each others company. We managed to park right outside the pub as well. It's so easy to get to straight off the motorway. This away match is a must every season now thanks to the hospitality of The Vine
Thanks guys see you next season.

This is one of the first places that started Indian bbq food.
It has therefore one of the best around but has been pretty average for a number of years as more pubs have taken the mantle. It now seems to be back on track and food picking up again.Nice family atmosphere and great if you want to avoid noisey lager louts.

As you can tell I don't like curry but from my experience, a very clean place and the food was coming out 5mins after order was placed. My friends all love curry and go here regularly!
Very friendly and polite staff

The vine has been going for a very long time the land lord gets happyer every time you visit the curry is good but allthe comments about the staff is because the landlord will not let the staff talk to the customers . What makes a good bar good staff if you treat staff good you get good results.
