Were back at the Vine again this month. It was as I remembered it from some years ago: a nice and interesting pub with some good ales and lovely indian dishes.

My wife took me here for my birthday, I had lamb dopiaza (sadly they'd run out of goat which was disappointing) lillie had chicken tikka from the grill.
The food was beautiful and cooked perfectly. The pub had a nice range of beers and was very clean.
Happy birthday boy who is now very full

Great food as always, and the staff serving the food are friendly and helpful........but the bar staff who take the orders are as miserable as sin.
As if they don't want to be there!,can't be bothered attitude.Shame as it really lets the place down, but I keep going back cos the food is great

Vistited here in January . Food was tasty when eating it but gave us both a bad stomach once home.
Price is a little bit to much for a starter for what it is and seemed to be moulded processed chicken rather then actual chicken breast. Becuase no chicken comes that big.
Old man in grill area in the white jacket was as misreble as ever and just grunts when you tell him what you want. And has never heard of thank you.
Thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt from last time but never again.

About 12 of us from work went as one was leaving for pastures new !!!
We all ordered a variety of Indian curries and naan breads which were brilliant and tasty and the presentation of the food was very professional.
Unfortunately that can't be said for the grill house kitchen. One work colleague ordered a spicy pork steak ... only for it to appear on a plastic plate and chopped up lettuce on a proper plate. I think they need to serve grilled food on normal plates because it looks better and much easier to eat hot sizzling food on normal plates rather than plastic ones ... which also look cheap !!!
All in all I would definitely come again and plan to come soon but rather for the curries !!!
Be mindful that weekends could be manic as when the Albino are playing at home ... this pub gets very busy !!!
Enjoy !!!

The best curry pub in West Bromwich. I have used this pub for over 20 years. The BBQ and real ale are excellent.

Misses is Indian so you can't beat home cooking. But the bbq in this place is unmatched. Don't go for the curry...go for the Indian bbq. Have the methi chicken (better than the tikka) and you won't be disappointed!!!

I have not been to the Vine for years, We always used to go after the Football match at the Albion. I decided to go after the Fa cup match on staurday (Nuff Said about the result) I have always said to my children i would take them so today was the day. It has changed a lot since the last time i went but the food is as fantastic as it was back then. We all had the Chicken Tikka on Naan breads which would have filled the biggest of appetites, I went home feeling well and truly stuffed. To some it up Great food, great beer, very friendly staff overall a fantastic pub. See you next home match day!!!

Had the pub recommended by a friend for a pre match drink and food
Was extremely busy and standing room only, but food from the grill was very nice and quick Just what you want from a pre match pub
Plenty of bar staff so served as quick as possible

Wow what a nice curry! Enough to choose and great taste. Special way of delivery: 2 girls shouting your ordernumber through the restaurant ;-)

Food is great and reasonably priced. Friendly atmosphere and great meal out whether it's with friends or family. Can be busy as it is a popular location.

We have visited the Vine now on 2 occasions on a Friday evening with a young family & friends.
The offering is a staple of what you would expect from a Desi Pub and is reasonably priced, bill for 4 meals with sides and drinks around the £35 mark, food is served quickly and without fuss.
Decor reminds me of what I would class as a spit and sawdust pub but that just adds to the atmosphere and it is far way from being one.
We take our young family here and it is a safe and family friendly environment with a slightly Bohemian feel at times with friendly patrons and staff. They have a dedicated BBQ area at the rear which we are yet to try but is always busy.
Well worth a visit

Went in on a Friday afternoon for a team Christmas meal, got there at half 12 and place was packed with several tables having large "reserved" signs on...bit strange as when I'd called the week previous to book a table was told that tables are not booked or reserved and it's a first come first served basis.
Anyhow...managed to find space in the rear room and had a table for us all together.
Meals simple to order at bar but remember to keep ya recipt as this is your order number.
Bless the waiting girls as they were covering more miles than marathon runners and having to shout out order numbers bless them.
Right the food...I had a simple lamb bhuna and naan bread, now I've had larger portions but never with so much meat in there, absolutely rammed with tender lamb and a gorgeous sauce to accompany. Proper naan with chunks of garlic not garlic butter spread on the top of a plain naan.
Overall...packed place but what's expected on a Friday lunch at Christmas, cracking atmosphere, food sublime, service spot on, prices reasonable.
Folks you'd be daft not to try it

We've been going to the vine every month for a few years now we love it. Food is fantastic we usually have the BBQ the staff are always friendly ( except the BBQ chef but he'l never change!😂) lots of good drinks served at the bar, the atmosphere is great but I can't understand reviews people expecting waiter service etc it's not a restaurant it's a pub serving Indian food! Please ignore negative reviews if you haven't been before but don't expect 5* service like top restaurants 😉

The vine is an Indian canteen not a restaurant, that said he he food is fantastic. Bar staff are great even if the man at the BBQ can be a bit grumpy! Value for money ! Not where you get dressed up to go , but to relax and eat good food freshly cooked !🤗 love it
