We decided to pay a visit to the vine as where ever we read a review it was really impressive on arrival ordered our drinks and food sat down in the lounge area not the grill it was almost like they knew we were coming and what we were going to order as our food was there unbelievably quick all piping hot and basically perfect so tasty so fresh very very good huge compliments to the chefs and the staff all very impressive.

Excellent venue a for pre match pint ans mix with away supporters. Havent yet encountered and hostilities serve up excellent bar food too

Just got back home after a visit to the Vine, with couple of mates after work. I haven’t been there for a few years and can’t believe how big it is a clear sign of maintaining standards, well done. There is one real negative though. I was really disappointed that the older server on the grill is still allowed to palm customers change. He very neatly palmed a pound of my change. It is not the money and I would gladly leave a tip but to take money in that manner, well it sort of takes the edge off what was an enjoyable experience.

Lovely place for nice food. Good for a nice bite with family.
You can choose from the barbecue menu or regular 'pub grub' style menu - sure to cater for all palates.
In conjunction to the barbecue menu, there is also a curries section which includes the special of the day - this was achari chicken (pickle infused chicken curry), a well executed curry, perfect with a fresh naan or two (again something that can be ordered fresh at the barbecue or bar).
There is also a selection of seating options - sit down tables near the bar, secluded rooms with sofa seating at the front, smaller tables near the barbecue section and some outdoor seating in the rear beer garden.
All in all a great place for nice food and drinks (has previously been featured in BBCs good food guide).

If you want to visit a tardis then it's the Vine. Old fashioned parlour bar pub on a street corner.. But walk in.. Go further great service great food.. Either menu or grill... Must be 35 years since I first went there... It must be good.
