First time here and definitely won't be the last. The landlady Tina and her staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent, the food was plentiful, fresh and piping hot.

I left a glowing Xmas review. But we won't be back after today.
We ordered a plant based roast to be told there was non after twenty minutes, but a non discrit faux chicken burger was offered. We had to wait for 50 minutes for our meal.
We were sat in what l call the corridor to the bar although there was room in the main room. While we were be there, a procession of just eat guys waiting for their orders kept appearing. It felt as if we were in a Chinese takeaway. So a Sunday lunch was a washout,no ambience.
Thanks for your past meals but so long.

Cosy little place with an old'e world feel about it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and only too happy to help. I have coeliac disease, so have to eat gluten free food, there's several options on the menu for me to choose from, I opted for the belly pork which was delicious. Prices are reasonable, possibly not the cheapest around, but then the quality of the food on offer is good, and the portion sizes seem generous. Free parking with ample spaces, and a great view out over the fields which can be enjoyed from the beer garden. All in all a great place to go for a meal out, will definitely be returning.

JUNE 2024 update. Went for a lovely meal with husband, easy to walk to from Bloxwich, plenty of parking spaces though if you're in a car, and a lovely beer garden with views over the fields. Great place to have lunch or dinner. Nice menu to choose from with a good selection of vegetarian options, I had scampi and homemade chips with garden peas and salad, scampi was delicious, peas a little hard but ok. Husband had the beef, cheese and bacon burger with homemade chips and salad. TV screen in restaurant section showing football for anyone interested. It was pretty quiet and easy to get a table just walking in. Staff lovely. A nice pub to visit. Definitely recommend.
November 2022. A group of 15 us had lunch today, sent our food choices previously, all good, came out hot, well cooked and together, can't fault it. Nice staff. Lovely local pub.
November 2023 update, another big group lunch today, orders sent in before day. After waiting for a latecomer for a good while all meals came out quickly and hot, waitress was friendly and there was no rush for us to eat quickly even though we'd started later than planned. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, I personally would have had my liver cooked for less time and some pieces were rather hard, but it was tasty with lovely onion gravy and mash. My apple pie and cream was delicious. Unfortunately, the brownie ordered by a friend was very hard, maybe, as the waitress explained because they were gluten free or because it had cooled while waiting for extra custard, or just overcooked, I'm not sure. Overall, a nice lunch out in good company.

Me and my friends enjoyed a bottomless brunch yesterday. Can't rate it enough, the food was delicious and we had to take lots home.
Cocktails were amazing, not watered down like on other "bottomless brunches". Great value for money, will definitely be back

Came for tea as a family pub was bust but staff accommodated us , member of staff came over and took our drinks order , then came over and took our food order , my daughter had the lasagne which came with a little side salad and garlic bread , the comment she made was it was lovely and cheesy , my husband had the surf and turf and asked for his steak to be cooked rare , he said it was the best steak he had eaten in a long time , I myself went for the new jersey chicken which was to die for it was so tasty it was a chicken beast with bacon and cheese and pulled pork with bbq sauce it was so tasty, don't be put off with the petty comments about the food we have been a few times now and food been delicious and staff are so friendly well done team

Food was good but the price points are way off, I had fish pakora which cost £6.95 and all I got was four tiny pieces, the person who creates the menu and the price points needs to have another look at the menu as this would put me off going to eat there again

They organised a beautiful hot and cold buffet for my Father's wake. Tina was wonderful, she made organising everything so easy.
The setting is stunning with beautiful views over the fields.
Excellent food quality, fantastic service from girls in the bar and restaurant, they really helped to bring some joy to a very sad day.
We can't recommend this place enough.
