1st time I have ever been in this place, I popped in yesterday for a couple of pints and I absolutely loved it, the Mansfield smooth was superb pint, loved everything about this place and I shall definitely be returning. Really great pub to find.

First time eating here, can't fault it at all. Food from the Sunday menu was delicious(i had the crispy belly pork) and all reasonably priced. We'll definitely come again.

There were 4 of us booked in for 8.30. We were called and told that we could only order from the English menu until 8 pm..ummm. we agreed to change our booking, however, when we arrived there was confusion about our seating area. We eventually got our table, ordered our food which came in a reasonable time. The Indian mixed grill was great, and the short rib was well cooked, both looked nice. My friend had lasagne which was average. I ordered a sweet chicken sizzler which didn't sizzle and looked pale and unappealing. The taste was average, the look was off putting as there was no colour in it.

I do love this little gem. Never had tried the Sunday roast before and was not disappointed. It absolutely gorgeous. It was cooked to perfection and so tasty.

Met with friends for lunch. Menu is amazing,making choosing hard with all the delicious options. Service was very good,no rushing and time to have our drinks before eating. Food was delicious,piping hot and portion size amazing. I'd suggest paying extra for the handmade chips....omg they are gorgeous. We also had desserts which again are amazing.
Staff are pleasant and helpful. Prices are reasonable and well worth it. First visit here for me today and already booked in again. Thank you

After having a couple of takeaway Sunday lunches from here and being very impressed, we thought that we would visit to sample their daytime menu
And we are glad that we did, my wifes' chicken in BBQ sauce with cheese and bacon was lovely, i had the steak and ale pie, we both upgraded to the home made chips, and it proved to be a good choice, everything was first class, and my wife declared the gravy that came with my pie was the best she had ever tasted
I also had a pint of the Hobgoblin pale ale which was superb
Service was excellent and with the offer of 2-1 on main meals on a Tuesday the bill came to £24 with the drinks
All in all a lovely meal, lovely beer and great service we will be sure to try again thank you

I attended a funeral lunch today with my husband and the chef heard that I needed a gluten free diet. He personally came to the table to tell me that he would prepare a gf plate of food for me. I told him not to go to any trouble but 10 mins later was presented with the most amazing BBQ wings, pizza toasties and mushrooms on toast. My husband shook his hand and I cannot thank that lovely chef and the staff enough. Thank you so so much.

Booked a table a few weeks ago for tonight. When we arrived we were seated, not in the main restaurant but upstairs at a high table that we found very uncomfortable. We asked for an alternative table but was told none were available. Service was very slow, and we had to constantly go and find staff to chase everything. After our main courses we waited an age for the dessert menu, and again we had to chase it. Once we got it and eventually ordered desserts, we were told the oven was off so we couldn't have what we had chosen. The food was very good, however the service was very poor. So all in all a bit disappointing.

This was Sunday lunch takeaway its our second time ordering, within 20 minutes our food arrives, very well packaged and ready to plate up , Great sunny lunch will 100% be ordering again 😋

A young lady with a pierced tongue served us (didn't get a name) and she was professional and friendly at all times . The food was excellent,fresh and piping hot. It has a good choice on the menu. Will definitely 💯 it to friends.

First time here and definitely won't be the last. The landlady Tina and her staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent, the food was plentiful, fresh and piping hot.
