Came here Saturday evening with my husband and daughter for a meal. I’ve visited a couple of times before and only had great experiences so thought I’d leave a review. Had prawns and halloumi for starter- both beautifully presented and delicious- then gammon with eggs, the ivy house burger and sausage and mash for mains. Absolutely delicious! All cooked beautifully, can tell it’s all homemade and fresh. The only problem was, we were way too full when we left with the massive portions! Really feels like a family run, friendly and homely place. Can’t rate it enough!

Visited The Ivy House for an early Father’s Day meal as an extended family.Recently taken over by new owners and this was our first visit since their take over.7 of us ate two courses and certainly were not left hungry. The food is generous and well presented with a good range of choice from the daily menu and specials. We had several bottles of wine which were very reasonably priced.Look forward to our next visit.

Always enjoy the Ivy House. Prices have gone up Slightly since I was last there, however the food and service is always good. Nice beer garden to use with nice views on a sunny day. Noticed the Walsall football memorabilia has been taken out of the gents which is a shame as added character. Would recommend this pub if you're in the area.

have been there on an evening , and also on a lunch time . Whilst i was happy with the food , on both occasions i was let down by the poor quality of the cask ales. On my latest visit , my partner and myself both had the burger chips and salad. That was fine. We are both real ale drinkers . Our first pints tasted ok , but were very cloudy, but it was drinkable . When i went back to the bar to buy the second round i was told that the keg was empty, so i sampled the remaining two cask bitters . One tasted awful , the other tasted slightly less awful. Keeping a good pint of cask takes a lot of TLC . If you can't give it that kind of care , you should stick to selling Nitro-keg . I spent £13 for four pints of ale that lunchtime ,i left feeling somewhat bitter. Excuse the pun . The only other thing i was unhappy about was that we were sat outside in the garden . We were half way through our meals when we noticed a dog turd on the grass by our table . I am a dog lover , and i think it is good to allow dogs in pubs and in pub gardens . But perhaps a bit more diligence on behalf of the staff on this subject.

We wanted somewhere to go and eat that was not rowdy.
Being dog friendly was also very important. We had good food and drink and the dog got a lot of attention, we sat outside in the lovely evening sun and looked over the fields whilst having a good meal and a chat. Great.

A lovely meal and friendly staff a bit more expensive then when the previous owners had it and not a lot of choice for the lunch time menu so paying more then because you having to have the evening menu. I think there should be more choice was a regular at the ivy house before it changed hands. And it's a shame now because we only come for a drink now

Enjoyed our trip to the Ivy House Pub today. A very warm welcome from the friendly and helpful staff. Good choice from the menu and a relaxed restaurant area overlooking the garden and countryside.

We had a lovely warm welcome from the staff. I would recommend the Sunday lunch, which was freshly cooked, lovely beef and fresh veg. Portions were huge. We’ll be back very soon-I recommend you try this!

Visited The Ivy house With another couple for Sunday lunch. The interior of the pub is nice and traditional. The food was lovely well presented and hot and tasty. Good sized portions in both meal and puddings The men in the group said the beer was very nice as well. The staff were lovely and helpful and even gave us extra gravy without being asked. We did not sit in the garden but it looked a very nice place to sit and enjoy nice weather. All in all a nice experience which we would all like to repeat. so would recommend to anyone.

Lovely pub just tried the roast Sunday lunch, average portion meal, it was
Prepared meat, not fresh home cooked roast potatoes, fresh cabbage not fresh carrots? Not freshly made Yorkshire puddings, very thin gravy no real taste of a fresh roast Sunday lunch. This menu dies not match the standard of food from midweek menu.
Could be improved greatly would be happy to pay more for a carvery style lunch on a plate.

My partner and I tried the ivy house after seeing it was under new management and had a new menu. We hadn’t been in a while so thought we’d give it a go on the sunny weekend. We were so impressed! Ordered calamari and veggie burger (which had this amazing relish/chutney on, can’t get over it!), hubby had ribs and lamb steaks, so beautiful! We then sat in the beer garden which was gorgeous in the sun. The pub has a nice old world feel and is lovely and cosy. And most importantly, as my husband said “it’s nice to come out of a place actually feeling full!” The ivy will definitely be our new local!
