Visited Ivy House for our Anniversary and we where amazed by how wonderful the food was and the staff where so pleasant and helpful nothing was to much trouble for them. The owner is doing an amazing job at running the place a big credit to her. Would definitely recommend anyone to go to the Ivy House, I will definitely be back very very soon thank you all

Visited The Ivy house With another couple for Sunday lunch. The interior of the pub is nice and traditional. The food was lovely well presented and hot and tasty. Good sized portions in both meal and puddings The men in the group said the beer was very nice as well. The staff were lovely and helpful and even gave us extra gravy without being asked. We did not sit in the garden but it looked a very nice place to sit and enjoy nice weather. All in all a nice experience which we would all like to repeat. so would recommend to anyone.

Lovely pub just tried the roast Sunday lunch, average portion meal, it was
Prepared meat, not fresh home cooked roast potatoes, fresh cabbage not fresh carrots? Not freshly made Yorkshire puddings, very thin gravy no real taste of a fresh roast Sunday lunch. This menu dies not match the standard of food from midweek menu.
Could be improved greatly would be happy to pay more for a carvery style lunch on a plate.

My partner and I tried the ivy house after seeing it was under new management and had a new menu. We hadn’t been in a while so thought we’d give it a go on the sunny weekend. We were so impressed! Ordered calamari and veggie burger (which had this amazing relish/chutney on, can’t get over it!), hubby had ribs and lamb steaks, so beautiful! We then sat in the beer garden which was gorgeous in the sun. The pub has a nice old world feel and is lovely and cosy. And most importantly, as my husband said “it’s nice to come out of a place actually feeling full!” The ivy will definitely be our new local!

Really can’t recommend enough - we are new to the area and tried this pub a while ago. We went this week and had a wonderful evening in the sunny beer garden. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some starters in the garden, squid is to die for! Camembert is very good too, a little too cheesy for my tastes though! And my friend had the lemon posset and raves about it.
Only thing I would say is the benches outside aren’t all stable so couldn’t eat on all of them! We will be back!!

Honest pub grub at reasonable prices. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the food was excellent and they were happy to make changes to the set meals to suit our dietary requirements. Would recommend and would return here myself.

I’ve visited the Ivy House a few times now with my family and have never been disappointed! Lovely friendly atmosphere, the staff are lovely and the new owner has definitely made improvements to the decor and feel of the place. The food is traditional British food and is always good! You can tell it is all fresh and homemade and fantastic comfort food!

This is a great little find! Visit on a very busy Saturday night last week.
The food was huge portions of proper pub food. For starters I had sweet vegetable soup and my partner had pate. Both a delight! I had the minted lamb and my partner had the steak and ale pie for main and they were huge portions and truly delicious! Would recommend both! Was too full for a pudding but enjoyed a couple of drinks in the restaurant (the bar area was very full). The restaurant and pub has a real charm, original and homely. The beer selection please my partner, apparently they do good ale!
Staff were rushing around offering excellent friendly service. And though it was busy and we did wait a while for our food, you could tell this was a make it from scratch, traditional pub restaurant. We have booked in again for next week

Been here a few times for a drink but have never eaten here.Came with a group of friends 9 of us all together on a Wednesday night and were very impressed. The food was very good, good choice and the portions were big, the only thing that lets it down is the decor, it's slightly dated but then you don't go to eat for the decor. Will definitely visiting the near future.
