Amazing old pub with original features. Full length of bar Black Country ales choice of beers. We tried the IPA's which were really good. Friendly, helpful barstaff. Selection of cobs so a bit linitdd. Sorry we couldn't stay longer and would've liked the t shirt!

Beautiful pint selection with an entire digital board displaying such. They host board game nights, have good atmosphere interchange the drinks and flavours they have, friendly staff. Good smoking area, there is also two floors in the pub, quite a few steps including the entrance, toilets upstairs, so unsure if this is accessible to anyone unable to use such.

I love this place. I have been a few times over the years. Great ales and service and as BCA pubs go good ale prices. The layout is very interesting with a multitude of areas for the solo drinker who wants to be one with the ale and groups on the ale. 😊

Great ales, very dog friendly, prices a little higher but the products on tap demand it & it helps keep the trouble makers away. The atmosphere always seems friendly & relaxed. A really beautiful traditional public house.

A big place, nice big bar area and plenty of seating. Great selection of ales available. Good food and decent value. Tv screens dotted about showing sports. Limited parking but plenty of spaces locally.

updated Oct 2024 hmm.. they dont sell commerical ales i prefer. but the barman (forgot to ask his name) is knowledgeable about ales available [huge selection] he recommended "fireside" which was a delicious pint for my sweeter tastes [clear and good temp]... but there was only cobs available foodwise (monday evening) standard cobs, not particularly soft, but the onion and cheese is fresh. atmos is ok for a city centre pub, the seats are shiny leather (downstairs) so i found myself slipping off them... not that comfy and the downstairs fireplace is of plastic variety. board games for the kids (and big kids)! nice touch... dog friendly policy sealed the deal. if they served hot food on mondays (this would be 5 star experience). can recommend.
