Very good teaching skills. Tells you what you need to do and how to do it in a simple way that is easy to understand with no nonsense like many other instructors. Doesn't make you have unnecessary lessons either. I failed on a small thing and Gary told me I didn't need any more lessons just an hour to practice before the test. My wife's instructor made her book more lessons every week. Highly recommend, five stars.

I passed my test first time!!!! The pass is all thanks to my instructor Gary and his endless patience.....he is incredibly calm and supportive and never ever gets annoyed at mistakes just simply tells you it's ok and talks you through it. I had an awful experience and wasted a lot of money on a previous instructor dreaded lessons and cried lots I changed to Gary after not having a lesson for 12 weeks and not having much experience and in less than 8 weeks of learning I passed. I used to dread lessons and be incredibly nervous to the point of being ill but I've loved every one of them. Gary's encouragement and belief that you CAN do it is infectious you start to believe you can. Everything is explained thoroughly and you can ask him to explain again its never a problem. I cannot recommend this wonderful man enough if you're nervous or think you'll never pass then book Gary because he will get you through. THANK YU GARY!! you'll forever be a legend to me xxx

My driving instructor was Gary. He was a fantastic instructor, he made me feel at ease straight away and explained everything perfectly which helped me pass my test after just a few lessons with only a few minors. Highly recommend!

My son had his first driving lesson this afternoon with a gentleman named Paul. The overall outcome for this lesson was very very good. My son does suffer with confidence issues and also can be quite anxious it's took a while to get him to consider having lessons but this gentleman made him feel so at ease today. On return I had a quick chat with Paul who then said my son was very confident and by the looks of things will be a brilliant driver, just goes to show a little bit of understanding about the way people feel about challenging these things goes a long way and now my son feels super confident in going on his next lesson. I can't thank this guy enough. Would truly recommend. Thank you.

I passed my test with another driving instructor around 3.5 years ago and hadn't driven since, so I booked some refresher lessons with Rio. Lee was my instructor and was super friendly, making me feel at ease straight away. He allowed me to drive right from the beginning and helped me to build my confidence greatly. I only needed 3 lessons, which shows how brilliant the instruction was, and gave me plenty of positive feedback to make me feel more confident in myself and my ability. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lee and Rio to anyone and everyone I know! Thanks so much.

I had been trying to learn to drive on and off for years. I'd always struggled with confidence and anxiety when it came to driving and had already used other driving instructors who didn't really help me with this. I'm so glad I found Gary, he is a fantastic instructor who is really laid back and help me overcome my fears around driving and within a few lessons helped me pass first time. I never thought I would pass my test, but now I have confidence in myself. Gary is the best driving instructor and a really approachable person and I highly recommend him.

We had Gary Bennet for our son, after being destroyed with self confidence by another instructor Gary gave him the belief that he could achieve his goal of passing his test. Gary was amazing, we had a 9 hour block booking with him and he got him through his test and he passed first time. We can't thank Gary enough for what he did and would highly recommend this instructor for new drivers. Thank you so much Gary.

Gary was a great driving instructor for me as he ensured I learnt everything I needed to know in a easy to learn manner. He remained relaxed and reassuring throughout all lessons and made sure I did not become stressed at any point while driving. I would highly recommend Gary as a driving instructor as he is friendly, always available for lessons and a great teacher.

Before I had gone with Rio driving school I had 3 previous instructors. Each of which didn't suit my style of learning and I found myself not looking forward to lessons rather than enjoying them. My first lesson with Rio and Gary as my instructor, I knew that I'd feel comfortable behind the wheel and that I would progress my driving skills. Gary helped give me the confidence to pass my test on my first attempt. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I could never thank Gary enough for helping me get my driving licence. I never was confident this was something I could do, but his patience, his encouragements and his lessons got me there in the end! Paul was excellent from my very first lesson. He was 15 minutes early for my first lesson and said I am outside. When you are ready, told me what car he was driving and where he was parked so I could find him easy. He was interested in how I wished to be treated as old instructor was not right for me. He made me feel at ease from the moment we started talking, he is patient and kind and doesn't mind recapping anything you haven't quite understood. He shows you things in this folder to give you visual aids, which helps me. He recommended a book which I brought and it's really helped me to understand how the cars work and what to do while driving in the car. His confidence in me really helps plus he is so encouraging to me in what he says which boosts my confidence in myself. I couldn't ask for better. He only steps in when he has no other option. Very highly recommended especially if like me you are nervous. He lets you take your time when driving and doesn't comment on what you do wrong, we seem to just start again and nothing more is said. He is so friendly it's like talking to a close friend. He is trustworthy and reliable plus I think he is the best for me. I am so glad my husband found him online for me. I was thinking of quitting when with old instructor but Paul said there's nothing wrong with my driving and I expect learners to make mistakes as we can learn from them. I want to say a huge thank you to Paul for his help so far and I am sure I will enjoy learning to drive with you as my teacher, who I trust completely. Thank you.

Awesome and inspiring first driving lesson with Paul from Rio driving school. Excellent tips given and a comfortable approach with criticism towards me. Identifying things I could improve on early to give me more time to improve so I can become test ready sooner but at a pace comfortable. Would highly recommend Paul at Rio for your driving lessons.

The review for my instructor Gary as been an emotional one, we've had many downs with not passing on a few occasions but we finally managed to get myself passed today. Gary is the best instructor I've known and he definitely knows what he's on about when it comes to driving. If it wasn't for Gary's constant positivity and keeping me going through the dull times I probably would have given up, so I thank him for that. I'm very pleased with what I achieved with Gary and I 100% recommend anyone to him. I wish him all the best for the future, quality instructor and a top bloke.
