We went for dinner here which was our first time for their candle and live music night. We were so pleasantly surprised by everything! we’ve been in Taunton for 5 years now and can’t believe we have never been here before but this is for sure going to be a go to spot now!
The staff were super friendly overall and the two girls that served us were very quick at taking drinks etc and were always just so lovely and friendly. The food was incredible and I said to my husband that could possibly be one of the juiciest and tastiest steaks I’ve ever had. There was a lovely outdoor area with a bouncy castle in a lovely location so would be great for families. Also the little touch of having somewhere to purchase dog treats is a lovely touch. The only sad thing was we had to leave early and couldn’t stay for dessert because it was just way too hot (obviously this isn’t their fault as there is a heatwave) potentially some fans to borrow for silly people like me who forget theirs might to an extra nice touch to entice some people to stay longer and purchase more.
But overall great staff, lovely views/location and most importantly tasty food, we will be coming back again ☺️

We went to Hestercombe on one of the hottest days of the year. It was about 34 degrees while we were there. Sadly the Lutyens and Jekyll garden was looking very sad - brown and dried up, and lacked watering the rill. The rest of the garden was similar. The waterfall had no water and everywhere was really parched .
However, Hestercombe house itself was a delight. It had a number of exhibitions in its multiple rooms. The house has no furniture, but the rooms and photos give you an idea of how it was in its heyday, and the video histories were so interesting.
I am sure that the gardens are beautiful when the area isn’t suffering from a heatwave. Would visit again in the hope of seeing them at their best.

Team Work
I asked Amicus Law if they would guide me in performing my duties as executor of my late husband’s will and carry out all the associated legal procedures. I was lucky enough to be allocated the team of Solicitor Iram Ramzan and Legal Assistant Sophie Snape. Both of them worked hard to turn things around in record time – taking less than half the time initially predicted and within budget. All contacts with me were swift, polite and answered my questions. Because I was not able to attend the Weymouth office personally, they went out of their way to visit me at home when necessary or conducted on-line meetings via laptop. Both always inquired after my health when communicating by e-mail or telephone. Iram imparted judgement based on obvious experience and competence and Sophie, although still learning, brought youthful confidence and friendliness as well as knowledge. She deserves to advance in her career and I hope she will continue her studies in the legal profession. Working with them both was a very positive experience at a difficult personal time. In the same timescale they additionally managed to produce some other legal certification I requested, without complaint or fuss. I would not hesitate to recommend working with Iram and Sophie at Amicus to achieve any family law legal requirements.
