Oddly all 4 of us ordered the all day breakfast/brunch We were the only customers on Saturday around 2 ish which was a worry, during our meal a few others came in but it was never busy.
The young girl who served us was lovely, very personable, happy and smiling the entire time so is a credit to the owner/manager.
The food was a disappointment in parts some of the eggs were cooked badly with no soft yolks and all of the bacon was well over cooked. The sausages were pretty good though, the tomatoes needed grilling more face down to soften further. The rest was ok, beans mushrooms etc. It's a shame that hash browns weren't listed as part of the description as we ended up ordering some chips, had we know there were hash browns we wouldn't have. At £19 for each breakfast/brunch it wasnt great value for money and the cooking was well below standard.
Definitely room for improvement given that we were the only food order, can only imagine it would be worse when busy perhaps. All in all £130 (including me giving a 10% tip) including a few beers, drinks nd the chips wasn't great value for money. An absolute delight, inside and out. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The whole site is truly dog-friendly, since they are allowed everywhere people can go inside the house and in all the gardens (unlike National Trust). The Gardens themselves are unique, beautifully designed, well executed and maintained. Plenty of information in the House about the House and Gardens. This is something not to miss!

We've been working with Dexterous now for a number of years on our website for Zero Balancing UK. I would highly recommend them for responsiveness and customer service. Marc, Ashley and Harvey are a great team and always respond to any questions promptly and often go above and beyond to make sure that we're happy. They built our original website and have added a number of improvements this year which came in on budget and in the timescales required.

We visited for lunch a week ago & had an exceptional lunch, it was only a ciabatta but it was pretty perfect. The filling was the right amount, the bacon perfectly cooked, the chips crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. Even the salad garnish was excellent, fresh & crispy leaves, tasty dressing and lovely coleslaw. We will definitely be back soon. Honestly one of the best meals I have had out for a while. The service was good, with a friendly & helpful attitude. The pub itself is great inside & even though we don’t have a dog the facilities for dogs was great.
