It's hard to find anything that's free these days, and it's really hard to find something free that is this good!
It was suggested to us by a local when we found ourselves in the area on a wet day. It's a genuinely well thought-out, structured and filled museum with a great balance of information, story, activity and exhibits. Excellent place to spend a few hours, and please be sure to donate a few quid each as you leave.

A great day out, lots to see and do.
Always visit for half term activities which are always very well thought out and fun for the little ones, always very popular though, can be very busy! Cafe was full this time so had to eat elsewhere.
The gift shop layout is somewhat awkward running alongside the tills, busy area, every time i visit i can never browse with the amount of people hanging around in the area, queueing etc.

Nice lunches served in the café and reasonable prices.
Museum is free to enter.

Fantastic person and instructor. Helps you all the way with constant support. Had anxiety when starting and even throughout but Vern helped me counter that and overcome it. Couldn’t recommend a better person to teach you how to drive!
