I've never heard of this museum until I was passing through, but it was quite a surprise. Free entry, although donations are welcome. Museum covers Somerset from prehistory, until the 20th century. The Monmouth rebellion was quite interesting, as it was a local event. They had an exhibit from a Somerset artist, whose work was good, although I'm not one for art. I found the history of the Somerset regiment and their predecessors, one the best I've seen.

Impressive museum with a variety of interesting history. Much bigger than I thought when exploring through it. Free admissions but accepting donations. Fun for all ages. One way system in place.
