After having 5 quotes from different companies 3 of these from people sat in offices miles away from where i live i contacted solar gain who are basically 10 miles from where i live. Phil popped out and went through with me on the set up that i required. there was no pressure selling or money off the figure he came back with so no messing about. i excepted the offer and all the work was completed to a high standard . further still i have phoned Phil regarding questions and he has answered and explained very well. No doubt i will have more questions to ask in the future and will not hesitate to contact him as Phil said phone anytime . I can fully recommend Phil and the solar gain team. Consultation, quotation and the approach to problem solving was smooth and not pressured. Installation happened when agreed, and within the timescales agreed - that's an area that often slips. There were delays on the removal of scaffolding, but that sat with a third party contractor and Solar Gain did their best to support 'encouraging' that contractor to respond faster. The more important point for me was 'what happened when something broke', because its life and things do go wrong. In our case a battery component failed after a while. I think that's where Solar Gain really acquitted themselves well, the response was swift, effective and supportive. The part was tested, found to be faulty and the supplier liaised with to secure a new part, which was also fitted without fuss. I've had good initial service before, then pain later on when issues occur - that was not the case with Solar Gain, so I would recommend them on quote, and fit, but even more so on customer aftercare

Solar-Gain installed my solar system in April 2024. I was very impressed with the face-to-face consultations & preparation & planning that went into the quotation & subsequent specification. The necessary complex paperwork that accompanied each stage was well presented & organised so that all I had to do was sign, all done on-line. The system works extremely well & has saved me several hundred pounds already & resulted in vastly lowered monthly charges. The customer service is second to none & every query I have had, has been resolved very quickly. This has given me confidence in the integrity of the system & its customer service & quality control. I also highly recommend the company for the quality of the solar system components chosen to maximise my domestic solar gain!

I had a number of aims from the system Solar-gain installed in February 2024:
1)To be using 100% off peak or solar for at least 3/4 of the year by using an intelligent tariff.
2) For the Car charger, 9.7kWh battery inverter and solar panels to be integrated into one system and app.
3) For the system to take over during our frequent grid power outages.
I'm pleased to say that the system has vastly exceeded my expectations. Our electricity account has been in credit since April despite 5000 miles on the EV and we have used hardly any peak rate power,
reducing our outgoings and saving several tonnes of CO2.

We chose solargain after having a few quotes, but they paid more interest in our needs and talked to us face to face.
Our panels, inverter and battery were fitted back in the summer, without any problems, also the follow up was a great help to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them if you are considering solar.

We had three quotes for the solar panel installation. Phil’s was the most comprehensive and detailed, and his design seemed the most appropriate for our house. He made a site visit, unlike some companies who quote based on a satellite image, and the level of detail in the calculation of the expected performance of the system was most impressive. The work was carried out to a high standard and we are still very pleased with it.

I had 16 solar panels, inverter, 5.12Kw battery and Solar iBoost fitted by Solar Gain in October.
Having initially sought a quote from Octopus (as my current energy supplier) I elected to go with Solar Gain as they were a local family business with good reviews and unlike many companies promoting solar online, provided a personal rather than an online service, were not at all pushy, responded and installed within a very short time frame. Their fixed quote was also competitive and they alerted me, post quotation, to an offer that GivEnergy were running which meant that with the saving this provided I was able to add the Solar iBoost for the same price as my original quote.
From the initial visit from Phil to discuss needs and carry out an initial survey, the detailed survey by Colin, the prompt handling of all the admin and documentation by Vanessa I was very impressed by the service they provided.
Our installation took place earlier than originally planned and despite a small inconvenience that related to the scaffolding company, the installation was completed in a day. The team were worked really hard, on what was a miserable day weatherwise.
The Battery and Inverter was an external set up and the work was done to a very hight standard and the hardware looks really good.
Colin then fitted the iBoost and commissioned the whole set up the following day; and I was up and running. The system has been running smoothly ever since.
Not had the best performance the last week or so but that is down to the miserable weather we have had so is not Solar Gain's fault!
I would very happily recommend Solar Gain to anyone considering fitting solar.
