The museum was recommended by a curator at Dunster Castle and did not disappointment me. The exhibits covered the pre-historic eras, through Roman times, the English Civil War and up to more recent history - all in relation to the local area. I spent an hour and a half at the museum but could have spent longer. There is a nice café there as well.

Good place to visit for a couple of hours. Took my granddaughter and she enjoyed it. She went downstairs and had a go at the puppet making ,which went down well.<br>Theres a small cafe on site which offer a range of good coffees and light meals all at a resonable price ,if the weather is good a nice place to sit outside.

Fantastic Museum, so many things to see and read. Such a mixed range of subjects. My kids loved the fossils and discovering information about the area we live in. A great place to take your kids for an educational visit.
