It's a hidden gem! The cafe is gorgeous, and the museum is brilliant for both children and adults. They run on donations as they're a charity, which makes it an affordable place to visit.

The refurbishment and reimagining of the County Museum several years ago remains strong and demands a visit. Fabulous historic buildings and brilliantly displayed exhibits.

Tremendous museum. Lots of great kids events as well, which are sometimes strictly limited in number of places, so they don't get too crazy! :) Great exhibits. We go once a week, and never get bored. Easy to donate, without any pressure. They do host private events as well.

Good well presented exhibits. They have some excellent temporary exhibits throughout the year as well. Free entry. We often pop in for a quick visit if we are in town.
