Food was great however the service was awful. No one showed us to our table nor did any of the staff sat on their phones come and take our order at our table. Had to go up to the bar to order and staff couldn’t have looked less interested even if they tried. However food did arrive in good time hence the three stars. Have visited the allerford several times and it has never been this bad! Very unfortunate

We had our wedding reception at the Allerford Inn on Saturday and it was fabulous from start to finish. Tom and his staff worked so hard to make sure everything went like clockwork. The food was amazing and very plentiful and many of our guests commented on how good it was. They even took away the cake and managed to cut it so that from the front it didn’t look as if it had been touched and guests could continue to take photos. After the reception the team packed everything away for us ready to pick up the next day.
Thank you Tom and your team for making our day so memorable.

Went with a party of 15 prebooked. There were 3 meats on the carvery beef, turkey and pork. This was carved for you and the rest was self service. There was a good
selection of veg that included cauli cheese. The Yorkshire puds were homemade which is always a good sign. All in all a good experience. The only gripe is the bar service was slow. Would go again.

Visited here on many occasions for a Sunday carvery. Never had a bad meal, can't speak highly enough with regards to food quality.
Bonus for us is that they offer gluten free options (ie gravy and yorkshire puddings)

First visit and we were not disappointed. Excellent carvery with good choice of meats. Vegetables were well presented and freshly cooked. Good selection of desserts - thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

This little gem in the countryside serves an amazing carvery.

At busy periods it’s a little disorganised around the bar with ordering drinks and waiting for your table. But once you’ve moved away and settle it’s worth it.

The food is fresh out with a choice of meats and potatoes/veg.

Ideal if you don’t want to cook.

Me and my son visited the allerford inn for the santa's grotto, it was excellent, my son really enjoyed it and I would recommend for anyone to visit it next year, there were crafts going on and decorate your own gingerbread men, painting, colouring, making snowman etc... my son loved it :)

Big big thank you to the Allerford team for another outstanding Christmas lunch. From the minute you walk through the door to the minute you leave, nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so friendly and helpful. To top it off the food is, as always, outstanding - we left so full we had to take the cheeseboard home with us. Again a huge thank you for a lovely day, a fantastic meal and for all of the team who gave up their Christmas Day so we could enjoy ours!

Visited the Allerford Inn at Norton Fitzwarren. Quite difficult to find but looking for Victory crossing on the railway would help as it is next door. Te carvery was hot with plenty of vegetable varieties. We had a choice of dauphinoise and roast potatoes. Roast parsnip, peas, carrots, cauliflower cheese.
We had to wait a bit for desert so service is a little slow.
Overall a good inexpensive restaurant.
