The advice we have been given from Canine Support has made a significant difference to our dog. She has gained confidence and is not as reactive as she used to be. The group is full of lovely members who all support one another. Katharine is extremely knowledgeable with issues regarding our dog and is always contactable and if we dont get to speak to her, Katharine replies promptly with sound advice. Thoroughly recommend Canine Support.

Katharine's online courses are excellent - very accessible, down to earth and with realistic goals. It is really good to be able to revisit the modules and to have them as reference . The one to one zooms have been invaluable with Katharine always coming up with innovative and helpful suggestions to resolve issues, boost confidence and give reassurance that one is doing the best for your dog. The monthly Bark to the Future zoom meetings are brilliant to exchange ideas and know that you are not alone - above all see the funny side of the ups and downs of dog ownership which is seldom straight forward and can be quite isolating if your dog has difficulty coping on some days.

Katharine is a brilliant trainer and I feel so lucky to have found her. I have a terrier who can be reactive to other dogs and is generally quite lacking in confidence and the difference since we started working with Katharine is amazing. Katharine always takes time to understand what makes me tick and her enduring patience and ability to come up with new ideas to try is what keeps me going on the tough days. We’ve done her Loose Lead and Connection course, and ACE Freework course and both have been absolute game changers. It all takes time and for us is very much baby steps, but if you follow Katharine’s thoughtful advice the results do follow. It’s hard to explain Freework if you’re new to it, so I’d say just go and check it out! I’d done a few bits before, but the way Katharine explains and applies it to every day life was what made the penny drop for me and now it's my new favourite thing! We love being part of her private Facebook group (even though I’m not a Facebook person)! The people in the group are kind and supportive and the monthly Zooms are a lovely session where we share our struggles and have a few laughs along the way, and always come away having learned something new.
I know it’s a minefield out there when trying to choose the right trainer, but if you want the personal touch and someone with a genuine desire to help dogs and owners equally, then you have a gem in Katharine and Canine Support.

I loved doing the Ttouch course online with Katharine - the Zoom sessions were excellent, very informative and interactive and fun! I appreciated Katharine's sense of humour and her ability to put everyone at ease in the sessions, and ensure that everyone had chance to participate and get what they needed from the course. The app is really easy to use and very helpful in viewing the resources in bite-size pieces using my phone. I can't recommend the Ttouch course enough - so simple yet so effective.
The ongoing support for me, Max and DJ has been far more than I expected and I'm so grateful for all the help and advice. My old boy Max and scared little DJ have been helped so much, which has helped me to feel more in control.

Really well planned out course with training broken into very small steps to make sure the dog does not become resistant or fearful any any stage. So useful to have taught this because you never know when it will be needed

I enrolled onto Catherine's Fear of Fireworks Course to help my Staffordshire Bull Terrier Hugo through fireworks season and beyond because he suffers from severe anxiety with fireworks, agricultural bird scarers, gun shots and loud explosive sounds in general. The course focuses on activities and techniques to calm and reassure your dog and Hugo responded particularly well to the TTouch techniques and zoopharmacognosy that came up as part of the discussions in the group. Catherine's course not only helped reduce Hugo's anxiety but it made me much more mindful as to how I touch him not only when he's anxious but also in general, which has definitely strengthened our bond. The course had not 'fixed' Hugo (I wasn't expecting it to as his responses are extreme) but it has given us a structure to better manage his response to the triggers. An added bonus is that the learning materials remain available to revisit whenever is necessary. I would highly Catherine as her passion is second to none and the community she fosters is hugely positive and motivating. Thank you Catherine, from Michelle & Hugo

Great workshop on loose lead walking. Very informative with loads of opportunity to practice skills in person. Small group meant there was time for one to one attention. I would highly recommend this course.

Katharines Walking in Balance workshop is for anyone who has a dog that pulls hard on the lead and every piece of equipment that is meant to reduce pulling has been tried & either failed or had limited success. I reached a stage where I didn't know what to do next then spotted Katharines excellent course Walking in Balance which uses a different approach to the pulling...she teaches TTouch which seems to have positive effect right from the start, there was also lots of other tips, techniques & advice avaiable. We still have a long way to go but truly believe with some hard work and support from Katharine we will be able to achieve some loose lead walking which will be amazing as going for walks has been out of the question for the past 2 years due to my strong springer spaniel becoming over excited & dragging me all over the place as soon as we leave the house. Katharine is very knowledgable and the course is well organised ...a really enjoyable day for both dogs & their humans 😀

My experience with Katharine has just been so amazing. I loved the simple and effective ways she teaches the TTOUCH techniques in the course, her friendly and approachable personality, down to earth with a sense of humour which helps a lot to warm up to new people and take things lightly. I love her genuine interest to help, encourage and support people throughout the course and afterwards. Great pleasure attending the course, I have learned a lot and now having fun practicing. I would definitely recommend Katharine @caninesupport.co.uk if you are looking for someone honest, reliable and knowledgeable that will support you with care in your journey with your dog.
