Gorgeous views, gardens very well kept, staff all over the site were friendly and helpful - from ticket office to café to the museum. Loved having a walk around the gardens, then relaxing in a quiet spot. Bit expensive but you expect that from places like this! Worth a visit for sure

A wonderful place to visit. Spend around 3 to 4 hours. A formal garden, very well kept, a lengthy walk around a huge pond and a gallery too. Reasonably priced too

Google maps took me off the beaten track! From bridgewater service station to Hestercombe. The B road was very beautiful got there in 10 mins. Amazing 52 acre house and gardens. Staff were polite and informative. Around £15 entry. Charitable trust. All goes the the maintenance of the grounds. East to walk around. No steep climbs. Took around 2.5 hours to complete the map. Loads of hidden places to sit and recharge. Amazing landscape photography from the top looking down onto the lake/pond. You can also purchase 20p bags of feed for the fish and ducks which was fun. The cafe and restaurant was clean and tidy. Afternoon tea was delicious. Recommend if you're passing by Taunton. Dogs on leads allowed and welcomed.

A lovely day in the sweltering sunshine. Lots of places to stand and sit in the shade and opportunities to enjoy the gardens, the plants and the scenery.
