We ended up eating at Oake Manor after everywhere else we tried was fully booked and so glad that’s how it turned out! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the views are lovely. It was a really enjoyable meal out and we will definitely be returning.

Oake Manor do a variety of themed evenings but I'd not been for donkey's years! I booked into the Harry Potter quiz night with 3 friends at a cost of £12 pp.
The date had been pushed back a few months due to covid, but they kept in regular contact, even phoning the day before to tell me what measures were in place to make it covid secure.
The £12 included the quiz, a buffet and disco (although the disco couldn't go ahead due to covid restrictions). The buffet was also served by staff but I was really impressed. There was a choice of 2 meats, or halloumi, veg and hummous in a bap, served with salad, potatoes and coleslaw. It was delicious and a really good portion size.
The quiz was fun but some of the questions were rather obscure and the quiz master welcomed feedback on any answers given that attendees deemed wrong (there was one we knew of!). It did feel quite amateur if I'm honest, but it didn't stop us having fun. I almost went in full Bellatrix Lestrange costume. I'm glad I didn't as no one else was dressed up!
The only downside for me was the extortionate price of drinks! £23 for 2 gins, a bottle of WKD blue and a pint of tap water. Needless to say, we didn't drink much!
Overall, a fun night, well organised, safe and friendly staff. Lots of parking available. We came prior to face masks being mandatory in public areas.

First time visit to Oake Manor and a first time carvery in a considerable amount of time also. I had heard many positives of Oake Manor and very little negatives. Me and my partner and family visited for the Sunday carvery with three courses costing a very reasonable £16 pp and two courses for £13. All served with either tea or coffee and individually wrapped mints at the end of the meal.
The starter came out promptly and the request to have gluten free bread for the starter was no issue at all. Tasty hot and well presented. The carvery was also very well presented with a choice of three succulent cuts of meat and an array of vegetables that where cooked to perfection. The carvery staff where friendly and chatty while you served yourself with the veg and waited for your meats to be carved.
Lastly the choice of Desserts where far from a small list to choose from and all made in house. I had the banoffee pie which was nicely presented and a good portion size.
All in all a great experience friendly staff. Good quality food and all for an excellent price with a added bonus of stunning views of the countryside and the 18 hole golf course. I will certainly visit again in the future.

Our family of 4 decided to visit Oake Manor for Sunday lunch. We’ve eaten here before and the food has always been quite good. No exception this time, but I do have a gripe about their policy. My son wasn’t really hungry and just fancied a sandwich. Despite the fact that the bar area was 5 metres away,(& if you were sat there you COUKD order sandwiches etc from the menu), we were told that it wasn’t possible to serve sandwiches in the restaurant!! Bit weird. So he ended up just having two small starters, and the rest of us had a carvery. Now we come to the bill….. we were charged for 3 x starters, (we’d had 2 between us), and 3 x mains. So this meant we’d be paying £7 extra over the menu prices. We were informed that they charged per head, not per course or meal? How ridiculous, and if that’s the case why not make it clear on the menu. Ten minutes of arguing later, they relented and altered the bill accordingly, so fair play, but why the hassle in the first place? I won’t be rushing back.

Last night the Oake Manor gave us the most fantastic evening ever. It was our golden wedding anniversary and everything they did for us was absolutely wonderful, the carvery the table layout the music I could go on and on it was just great. Thank you so much Oake Manor, and a special thank you to Rachel your a star. Ten out of ten for everything.

What a cracking Sunday Roast for Father’s Day , highly recommend this carvery ,well worth every penny & my favourite pudding to lemon meringue with cream . I suggest if your reading this and you can make it , go try for your self, you won’t be sorry and the staff were fantastic to very attentive & polite, all in all a fantastic experience & will be back kindest regards PW

A great Saturday night out ,for £15 you get live music act ,see photos for details, a great buffet menu & disco , can’t be beaten, phone and ask for Ginny a fantastic lady . The night was brilliant. I suggest you look at their entertainment coming up and try an event
