Fabulous venue for a great value wedding with a perfect layout of seperate, yet joined spaces, in the bar or patio for drinks reception, in the dining room for wedding breakfast, and a beautiful first dance on the light and airy dancefloor. Great carvery and lovely staff too!

Hestercombe has some beautiful landscape gardens with plenty of places to explore. There is plenty of parking and a restaurant on site which is definitely worth the visit as the food is incredible. Sadly when we visited, we were experiencing a drought and therefore did not get the opportunity to see the cascading waterfall which I can only imagine is absolutely amazing. It has beautiful lakes and lots of incredible wildlife, including some baby frogs which we found nestling in the grass. I would certainly recommend this place for all as they have lots of activities for the children and families.

Yes the grass is brown and dry but so is most of the country, The gardens still look amazing, the views into the distance add to its charm. You could spend all day here wandering all the paths and spending time at all the features. The exhibition in the house is also well worth seeing and you could easily spend an hour there. The second hand bookshop one of the best I have visited ( and I visit many). The food in the cafe excellent and the staff were very professional. All in all a wonderful day out.
