Having quite low expectations of this place, my experience was great for lunch today. Prices are good and the menu looked uninspiring at first glance. However when it came it was thoughtfully presented and tasted great. Definitely one to return to.

At 12.30pm the restaurant carver was already fully booked but, we were able to order off the main menu. I shared a steak pie with chips, peas and gravy and ate outside on one of the wooden tables. The food was passable but nothing spectacular.
The Otter ale I had was nice. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food arrived quickly. Food prices from the main menu are a little steep for a local rural pub for what was provided but, the carver would have been only £9.95
I would recommend this pub to others but suggest for Sunday lunch, book early.
