The Best of Taunton were the race sponsors at a meeting in October 2010, I invited a group of clients to the race, which was a great way to do coroporate hospitality. The day ran very smoothly - everyone at the racecourse was extremely helpful and my clients all had an excellent day out.

I visited your course yesterday for the second time (previous was 4 years ago) and felt i just had to send you an email expressing my thoughts on your course and specifically your staff.
I don't give out praise very often and generally tend to see the negatives but how could i see anything other than things to impress me at Taunton.
I travelled down on the train from Birmingham on the train and took a walk to a pub a mile away at a guess from station. Following a well needed pint of Guinness i called a taxi (driver very friendly and picked me up later to return me to station bang on time after last race) and got to the course about 1pm.
The staff at the ticket office and particularly the senior gents on the turnstiles were extremely warm friendly and welcoming putting everybody at ease.
Your stewards on the Portman Stand again were very helpful and friendly before i then decided to put placepots and tote bets on - again the Tote staff were much happier than the characters i usually find. Finally the staff on the food stand in Portman were very friendly and the prices were more than reasonable for very good food (pasties / pies etc)
I thoroughly enjoyed my day - unlike a recent trip to a certain other similar standard course not too far from you.
Only complaint - I didn't back a winner all day !!!!
Looking forward to return trip maybe in autumn perhaps

Gorgeous gardens - all year round. We love to walk the dogs and then enjoy a delicious lunch in the cosy Stables Restaurant or in the sunshine of the Courtyard. It's such a happy place with lots sorts going on to suit all interests. We go to the Autumn and Christmas markets every year and adore the atmosphere at both. This year we went to a friend's wedding at Hestercombe and it was truly magical!"
