We live close to Hestercombe so it's ideal for a spur-of-the moment afternoon out. Nice cakes in the cafe too.

I just visited the restaurant and was very impressed. Quality cream tea and coffee and really helpful, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit for lunch or afternoon tea (or both!).

After visiting Hestercombe a few times over the years just for a cream tea or a light lunch, I finally decided to walk around the gardens! And I'm very happy I did. It's a very relaxing and tranquil place to be. There are a few ponds and a nice waterfall as well as natural looking planted areas and the formal gardens to enjoy. You can buy bags of food to feed the various ducks and we also saw a beautiful swan and a couple of rabbits too. I enjoyed it so much I have decided to become an annual member so I can appreciate the gardens as they change throughout the year
