Visited here on father's day. 2 adults, 1 child (3yrs) and i must say we had the most wonderful experience.
The service was quick. Really liked the addition of pagers to tell us when we could get our carvery. The wait for this was very little even though they were busy.
The portion sizes were very generous.
Very clean, tables spaced out and we all felt very comfortable throughout our visit.
The desserts were to die for as well. Overall we had a wonderful afternoon and we 100% will be returning and would recommend to anyone

We went to the Allerford for Fathers day and were not disappointed. The table was booked for 1:15, we turned up a few minutes early and were seated immediately. Drinks were served in probably less than 2 minutes and we were up and back with our food (carvery) in under 5 minutes. The food was excellent as it always has been when we've been in the past, and everything generally went very smoothly. The staff were well trained and were constantly on the go.
I highly recommend a visit to the Allerford, the service and food is great and you won't be disappointed.

We recently visited this pub for an evening meal. The pub itself is plain and dreary inside, not very cosy. The staff were like robots and the food average. We also thought it was expensive for what we had. Such a shame. There were only 2 other tables occupied so it felt very empty and uninviting.

Having recently moved to this side of Taunton I wanted to find a restaurant locally. This was the first that we tried and we were not disappointed, so much so this has now become our regular. Staff friendly,food is excellent and such a lovely outside area for our little man to stretch his legs.

We visited for a fireworks event and were so impressed by how well organised the event was. Everything had been very well thought out, in particular a buzzer system for the buffet to avoid queuing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the fireworks display was fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We had our wedding reception at the allerford in September,after 3 cancelled dates our 4th time lucky actually happened and the team was amazing,Nikita was extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble and was always on hand to make changes and help with any questions,the venue has very spacious function rooms and lovely outdoor space we hired a bouncy castle which was a missive hit, we had a 2 corse carvery and it was outstanding the puddings were delicious
We had everything we wanted for our reception at the allerford the chocolate fountain is a must 🙂 massive hit with everyone

Booked in last minute, staff were brill service was amazing and organisation to stop people having to queue up for carvery was brill! Food was delicious. Definitely one to come to!

Just back from Christmas lunch at the Allerford where, from the minute we walked through the door, we were made to feel so genuinely welcome by Tom and his marvellous team.
As we have come to expect, the food was first class from the starters (fig & feta parcel was delicious as were the pates), through mains to dessert. By the time it got to the cheese board we were absolutely full up but they have anticipated this and we got a lovely cheese board ‘to go’.
Our waitress, Megan, was very attentive, friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time that was, to be perfectly honest, absolutely faultless.
We cannot thank Tom, Ellie, Nikita, Giles and the whole team enough for giving up their Christmas Day to help make ours so special.

Visited the Allerford twice in December for a Christmas party and also for Christmas Day. Excellent food and service.
On Christmas Day there was unfortunately a very noisy dog who’s owners made no effort to calm it/keep it quiet. The waitress at our table dealt with this very well and spoke with the table. The waitress was a young female with dark hair and she made our experience very pleasant. These sorts of things are out if control for the pub but they dealt with it well and we had a lovely meal.
Special mention for Toblerone cheesecake - gorgeous!
