Founded in 1876, Chard Rugby Club is one of the oldest established clubs in Somerset.They will play their 1st XV fixtures in Tribute Western Counties West Fixtures

Chard will open their first home game against Bideford on Saturday, September 8 th, with the match kicking off at 3pm.
Wiveliscombe Rugby Football Club was established 1872 and has teams for both Seniors and Juniors. New members are always welcome

Hestercombe Gardens of Taunton is one the favourite days out and attractions in the Taunton area. We hold lots of events throughout the year. Check out The Best of Taunton's event page or our website for what's on.
We went to Hestercombe on one of the hottest days of the year. It was about 34 degrees while we were there. Sadly the Lutyens and Jekyll garden was looking very sad - brown and dried up, and lacked watering the rill. The rest of the garden was similar. The waterfall had no water and everywhere was really parched .
However, Hestercombe house itself was a delight. It had a number of exhibitions in its multiple rooms. The house has no furniture, but the rooms and photos give you an idea of how it was in its heyday, and the video histories were so interesting.
I am sure that the gardens are beautiful when the area isn’t suffering from a heatwave. Would visit again in the hope of seeing them at their best.

The Somerset County Cricket Club For Top Class Conference Facilities and Banqueting in Taunton.
The County Ground is such a wonderful place to watch cricket. On a nice summer day there really is no better place to be! It still has the feel of a family club which is what I like about it. Despite the ongoing developments the ground still maintains it's character. The team need to win a few more matches but I'm sure 2016 will be a fruitful year on the pitch!
