Chard Improvement Action Group (C.I.A.G) is dedicated to making Chard and surrounding areas of Somerset a great place to live, work and visit.
Together, we want to conserve and enhance the quality of life, foster pride in our local area and create a strong sense of community.
We are a non-religious, non-sectarian and non-party political association.
Contact: Gary Pennells (Secretary) Association for Naval Personnel who meet monthly to share our core values: unity, loyalty, patriotism and comradeship. We meet on the second Thursday of the month at the Conservative club Chard at 7.30pm.

At Golden-Oldies we believe that singing is the best way to put a smile on your face. We run monthly singing sessions where we sing songs from the 50s 60s and 70s. You don’t need to have a good voice, just so long as you enjoy music, then Goldies is for you. We ask for a £2 donation towards running costs, but we don’t turn anybody away. Why not come along to your next session and see if it’s for you.
Our sessions in Chard take place in The Boden Centre on Boden Street, Chard on the first Thursday of each month from 10.30am – 11.30am.
The Rotary Club of Chard was founded in 1945 and has been active in the Town and surrounding area since. Members represent a wide range of business and professional interests and anyone wishing to consider becoming a member should contact Rotarian Robin Williams on 01460 66631.
