This really was a lovely day out. It's quite a small museum but there are some very interesting exhibits.

There is a suggested donation of £3 per adult, you can pay £1 per child for quizzes based on the exhibitions.

There a number of excellent of fossils on display, presumably recovered from the Somerset levels, and an amazing example of a Roman mosaic, as well as some activities for kids to interest with.

The exhibits are interesting and there are plenty interactive instalments to keep the children interested, and there is a very nice cafe on the way out. Delicious coffee and hot chocolate and the food looked very nice too.

I would recommend this as a good (and cheap) day out.

Really interesting museum. They have lost of different things going on here...last time I went the theme was the Tudors, spent quite a while speaking to a very knowledgeable man. Also there was an art exhibition and a craft session for children ... there is usually something for children so a good place to visit in the holidays. Free entry... .just a donation box , so affordable for all.

Good little museum with a good range of exhibitions from different times. Just right for young children. One of the only things to do in the area on a wet day. Being free makes it even better.
