Over twenty years since our last visit to Hestercombe...what a transformation.
The gardens are absolutely lovely, the views, surrounding woods and fields wonderful for walks.
The house sadly isnt furnshed, but there are some art instalations, the bonuses are the gift shop, cafe and restaurant for a spoil.

Lovely woodland walks, a formal garden, cafe, and plant sales. The house has gift shop with local crafts, art installations at certain times, and there is an excellent second hand bookshop. Everything you need for a great afternoon out.

Very interesting gardens, not the best time of year to visit, so we’ll hopefully be back later in the summer.

Remember it before it was "re-discovered" remarkable feat to restore it, beautiful place to visit. Still improving, lots of history being brought back to life. The cafe and plant shops are are must to visit.

Great place for a nice walk just outside Taunton. If you go regularly it’s worth getting a membership. Decent café, but the highlight is really the grounds.

We had a tasty lunch, and there was a beautiful metal tree sculpture in the restaurant courtyard. We then walked around the grounds. The woodland walk was lovely, with lakes, buildings, and many birds. House was interesting with an art exhibition and an excellent second-hand book shop.

We visited for the illuminated gardens, never been before as £15 each is a big outlay for us just to explore the gardens, so it was a special treat for Christmas . 2 hot dogs and 2 hot drinks were £22 I think, but were very nice, the facilities and the staff were all lovely and we could take the dog, which was a deciding factor . The illuminations were very good, as was the accompanying music . The gift shop had lots of different things and was well priced . There is a large car park , plenty of room. We enjoyed our evening .

Visited Illuminate between Christmas and New Year. Lovely lights and piped music. Takes about 45 minutes to walk around the gardens.
